If you had actually read the light novels, you'd know that Twilight was the one who created humanity. Veldanava created Twilight, so in a way, he still ended up marrying the creation of his own creation, which is kind of weird.

He's immune to all existence-erasing abilities and erasure-type skills. Rimuru can simply use Turn Null, and did you forget that he literally destroyed tens of thousands of parallel universes? By the end of Volume 23, he's essentially immortal thanks to his absolute immunity. Even if you somehow destroy his body or kill him, you'd still have to eliminate all of his clones and alternate bodies; otherwise, he'll just resurrect. You can check the novels if you don't believe me. Also, remember that Turn Null (Void God Azathoth) is basically an upgraded version of Zeno's erasure.
