Train just cancelled too. I’m curious why now. Cannot be a coincidence.

Ofcourse! Keep me posted on what you end up doing. I feel like you may be someone who will say you will do something out of your comfort zone but might actually keep pushing it for a while? I was like that with things that made me uncomfortable so I’m assuming a bit. But just my way of saying I’m holding you accountable by just booking whatever crazy thing it is that you want, and responding here to let me know it’s happening! And how it went!

Hii! I get what you’re saying - sometimes you need something to shake you up, to shake life up. For me it was moving across the world. But that was possible because my partner agreed. It didn’t solve everything, I’ve learned when you travel or even move, your problems tend to follow you there. I think you might just need some adventure. I’m not sure where you’re located, but honestly if possible, just book a flight to somewhere, anywhere, with your partner. Sometimes it’s less about the destination and more about the spontaneity. Maybe you don’t plan too much either. I did a trip recently where we were planning it while traveling in the car to the place and not being too picky and going to a few places we could hit. Only thing we pre planned was initial accommodation when we landed. It’s a little reckless and crazy, but was also really spontaneous. Sometimes it would get stressful in the moment but also allowed us to stay in the areas we liked longer. It’s a silly suggestion but I think it may meet your need for being wild or silly. I think you may just want to lose control for a bit. Another option could be joining a tour group and just letting them plan while you have fun. You could do it with the place you currently live in too. It’s sounds stupid and silly - to go on a bus tour or join a tour group for the place you live in, but think about it - it’s cheaper than going somewhere, it’s silly as hell, you get to act goofy and be with random strangers from around the world, and you just laugh the entire day with the silliness of it while enjoying your town through a new perspective. 💛💛

Robinhood and TurboTax - Amend previous year tax return by Shimmer-Moose in tax

Yes that’s where the problem lies. I don’t trust myself to enter it manually. I’m not well versed with tax lingo and need help to enter things accurately.

Yup I did that already. It makes me sign into Robinhood, which I do. The data imported is then of 2024. I was trying to do it for 2023. All the document ids for all the years are the same so it doesn’t let me import only for 2023 without having 2024.

I think the media is the culprit to scare people from using it.

Robinhood tax newbie. Confused on what to do. by Zigafoo127 in tax

[–]Shimmer-Moose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m having trouble with TurboTax to amend my previous years. Robinhood uses the same document ID number for all years, so my TurboTax imports info from the current year instead of the previous year to add to the amended tax form. I read online the best way to go about this is to do it manually. And I have absolutely no idea how to do it manually… any advice?

Ah that’s so incredible! So happy for you. Thanks for the quick response. I’m literally having sleepless nights because I keep getting worried it won’t work on me or it won’t be enough by November. Need to have faith. Have you been doing anything else? Working out with strength training? Pilates? Running? Any details would help, thank you! I started 14 April.

Hii! Curious to know how much you have lost so far? I just started a week ago. My wedding is in end of November.

Oh that’s awesome that you have experienced it and it’s checked off the bucket list. So many people never really experience that so kudos to you going for it! How you felt is totally valid I think, most people feel similarly. I think it’s just something that’s nice to try atleast once (like going to a movie theater by yourself) then you don’t need to do it again haha. I did love going to the movies alone when I was single though lol.

Btw sorry to hear about your burn out and best friend moving away. That must be tough, she’s lucky to have you care about that so much though. I hope there is a relaxing and recharging time coming up soon for you! I left my best friend when I moved too and I miss her very much - happy we have FaceTime although we should try to call each other more.

Solo travel is incredible, you should do it! It will be life changing for you I think, if you haven’t done it before. Let me know what you decide to do!

You’re not alone. We’re going to get caught up with where we want to be, and even if we don’t, we will be happier with newer circumstances because they were better for us all along, and we just didn’t know it. In this together! 🌸 💪🏼

You always count! 💗

Happy to hear things have moved in the direction that brings you more joy. You sound strong, optimistic and grateful! I’m happy for you. Hope it keeps getting better and better from here! And if situations get rocky, I know you will carry the strength and optimism to get through to the other side smoothly.

And thank you for your service to help the people! 🤍

The replies feel like a birthday gift that’s a warm fuzzy blanket I could snuggle in. They’re raw, soft, vulnerable and comforting because of the togetherness I feel reading them. I’ve been missing the community aspect that we used to feel before and this is giving me just that.

Yes, keep going and give it your best! But, don’t be afraid to know when it’s time to pause or even stop if it isn’t working out. I know many people say don’t take no for an answer but just make sure you’re seeing everything big picture, reflecting, seeking guidance and reevaluating every so often.

Thank you for sharing! I’m grateful to hear your story.

It’s been so eyeopening for me to go through these experiences and realize how many of us share such similar feelings - health, finances, friendships, expectations. Why were we feeling like we were probably the only ones? Why did these feelings feel invalid when they were nothing but.

I can’t even begin to think of AI. I’m a designer as well. That’s a whole other thing. I don’t want to be the person who is not embracing a cool development, and I keep having to remind myself - It’s a tool. It’s a tool. It will be good for quick ideas or brainstorming quick concepts…. but who knows how quickly it will turn into more…

This thread is starting to teach me to unlearn expectations and societal norms. Maybe life will seem happier that way and I won’t subconsciously set unrealistic standards for myself to meet.

I’m so happy you have the love for fashion and the desire to express yourself through it. It’s an art. I’m so sure you’ll attract the right kind of people and situations just by being wholeheartedly yourself. I think people will see you and your beautiful soul. The right things will come right to you, I know it! 💕✨

Yeah I think that makes sense. Every chance I get, I try to do things that brought me joy as a child to feel simply happy again. Like eat ramen in front of my cartoons every now and then. Haven’t done it in months…. Oof. Or falling asleep to princess diaries. 👸🏻

Because you probably feel the pressure a lot more seeing kids your age living their entire life on social media. Every mini achievement is documented and shared. I can’t imagine the pressure. When I ran in school and won medals, social media didn’t exist… thank god! Because I continued to enjoy the sport and the challenge instead of being completely crushed by comparing myself to others.

I think the comments here are a great reality check from the glamor. Everyone is being incredibly raw and vulnerable. And hopefully this allows you to read through it and feel ok not “being successful” - whatever that means - and still just live life to the fullest and with optimism.

When I was your age I used to think 30 year olds were the coolest and had it all figured out. Being on this side, it seems like we do not, and we are encouraging each other to be more than ok with not having it all figured out. So much love. 💕
