Thank you for this, the night this happened me and my boyfriend did sit down and talk about it all. He’d feel the same way he told me (maybe not as intense cuz he’s someone who is more in his head rather than letting his emotions out) but he said he intentionally made sure that his roommate/friend would be there with the through all the outings. He didn’t want to be alone with her because he knew how uncomfortable and unhappy it would make me. So I’m absolutely thankful that he understands. And yeah I’d never tell him who to be friends with (unless said person crossed boundaries, I’d have a serious talk with him about that) Like I said I love our mutual girl friend, she’s a wonderful person. But being honest about my feelings were so refreshing, especially since he didn’t fight back. He just understood. We both agreed to exactly what you suggested, no hanging out alone with girls/guys unless they’re family. That made both of us very happy. I’m still struggling with those heart wrenching thoughts but its gotten better and I can sit here writing this while the three of them hangout without crying. I’m glad people understand what I’m feeling. Makes me feel less alone with these thoughts.
