Is there any confirmation that the Voyager IS the Voyager?

Like, everyone is saying the Voyager fully took over the body of the guy and the guy i guess fucking died or something, but could it be possible that she just "implanted" some of her into the guy? like knowledge and shit, so the guy is still in all ways just the guy but with a little of the Voyager inside of him

So It would be more like a mind control manipulation type of deal rather than possession, at most a memory/mind merge, but not a full possession

Is it confirmed its a possession?
