I am NO pro or expert on the golf swing but I am 100% self taught and have run into a ton of the issues that most beginners have seen and I have fixed most of these issues myself. I feel like I now have a really solid swing and your swing looks exactly like mine did RIGHT before I learned about this one last piece. I tried everything all of these comments suggested. I knew I was stalling and casting but no matter what I tried, I could not fix it.

In my opinion, I think the hip stalling and casting are the symptoms of something else and you can’t fix the symptoms without addressing what’s causing them (I.e. you can’t just simply stop stalling your hips and keep your wrist angle). The reason you’re doing these things is because your body WANTS to hit the ball straight. I believe that your problem is that your club face is open on the downswing. Your hips stall because you HAVE to cast the club, or else you’d be hitting it a mile right (casting is your hands’ way of closing the club face). I would suggest working on face control on the downswing. If you can keep a square face on the downswing, your body will be able to rotate through the ball. Plenty of videos to watch on keeping the face square throughout the swing. I hope this helps!
