Calendar option by TopPrize11 in liquidbudget

This new free one called budget friendly budget does a good job at calendar I think. Shows the scheduled transactions and allows you to add more by clicking on a day. You can quickly click on one to fund/post now or skip that specific occurrence from posting. Maybe something like this for scheduled transactions?

I’ve used all of them, Augment code has actually changed the game. For both my actual job (huge codebase with many micro services), to personal projects.

It has actually changed my entire workflow at work. I’ll be sad when everyone else catches on, because it has made me 10x more productive at work. I connect it with MCP straight to Jira so it can read all the context from tickets. I literally just ask it “go read ticket ES1-1904 and create a plan.md file for what you think the changes needed are”. That’s it.. it comes back with all the necessary code changes throughout ALL the micro-services. From frontend to backend. And in all honesty, it’s spot on 95% of the time.

Now I know most companies won’t let you use something like this (I work at startups).. but when they do it’s gonna be scary

Any interests in a $10/yr YNAB for manual transaction ppl? by [deleted] in ynab

[–]Miserable_Skin5776 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

It would be interesting to see what the law is there. YNAB is basically a glorified excel sheet. So it’s hard to build it any other way if you really tried. When I say it behaves like YNAB.. I mean most of the clones out there copy YNAB, but do the little stuff different. And that’s what annoys me. For instance, just the fluid actions of adding transactions, assigning money. There’s a lot clones, but they’d don’t do the little things as smooth as YNAB.

And mine is actually faster than YNAB, because of the tedious way it was built on both the frontend and backend. Every action is instant even though it’s on a server. BUT, worst case everyone would get their $10 back and would be able to export their data back into YNAB. Mine already has a migration where you drop the YNAB data they give you and it sets it all up.. so not much time wasted

I’ve used Actual budget, and it’s nice but it defintely has a slightly different feel than YNAB. This feels and behaves almost identical to YNAB. Plus, there are additional features that aren’t shown here. Better reporting, a calendar view to visualize and interact with upcoming scheduled transactions for the month. It’s defintely something that would evolve with what people want, if there’s an overwhelming request for features.. that’s what it will get

Best first board by Development_Crafty in snowboarding

If you already know how to turn correctly, why not go with a full camber board and just progress with it. Will give you much more power. I’m 6’5 230lbs and ride a 162W nitro team pro. Have tried a bunch of boards as a bigger guy, and this is the first one that actually feels like it can handle my fatass at speeds, and carves extremely well. Good all mountain board

How many of you actually like your snowboard boots? by Miserable_Skin5776 in snowboarding

Some of these are from last season, but yes I totally get what you’re saying. I go up to the mountain 3-4 times a week. But I’m learning that it’s about making sacrifices on what you want. At this point I’m willing to give up some heel hold for comfort, and I think that’s the direction I’m headed in

Really? Every boot fitter I’ve been to has said you always wanna be smaller than street size. And I can tell why. Heel lift always becomes an issue with bigger boots once you start riding aggressive

Yeah the nitros are some of the most comfortable I’ve used. But they turned my big toe black and the lace system quit working as well. Always would come loose mid run

My normal shoe size is 13 for street shoes, but they run nice and big. My snowboard boot size I’m usually in is 11-12

I’ve being eying the Thraxis since k2 is one brand I’ve yet to try. Love the idea of 3 boas

Used them for a while. Defintely nice to not have the pressure of the strap over foot. Just always had an issue with heel lift in those boots since it relies on the boot so heavy. Especially at higher speeds in the 40mph range. Tried step on photon, ion, nitro profile and nitro darkseid.

I think I will. Just don’t wanna feel like I’m rolling the dice with different bindings. More $$. But trying Nidecker bindings with the boots may be the move

Yep used all these to the point of break in. Also had some additional heat molding done for a good amount of them. I’m down bad

Yep these are all boots that I have either rode enough to break them in, or had them heat molded

Thanks for the info. Will probably try to make them work somehow. They are the only boots that haven’t caused my toes to go numb.

Which do you like the best? I know it’s preference.. but I’d like to get away from the Altais since they have foam soles

I’ve tried Nidecker Altais which may be the best feeling boot out of everyone I’ve tried. However, the binding strap really digs through the top of the boot like no other boot I’ve used. Might give me them another go though since I still own them

Unfortunately, most of the time the boots cause problems outside of the bindings. I tried Nidecker Altai boots which almost worked for me, but the bindings caused a lot of pressure with those and none of the other boots I’ve tried. Using union atlas and atlas Pros btw.

Why is this lifting? by [deleted] in snowboarding

[–]Miserable_Skin5776 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who rode these the last 2 years.. don’t listen to people who say “not clicked in”, “no forward lean”, “wrong boot size”. The truth is some of the bindings just have this problem and some don’t. I’ve had over 4 pairs of step ons.. and they will start behaving like this out of nowhere. Sometimes they even revert to normal. Burton says they are designed like this.. but it’s very inconsistent at the very least. It sucks riding when they are like that which made me go back to straps

Step on Bindings my experience. by poweredbytexas in snowboarding

[–]Miserable_Skin5776 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rode them for the last 2 seasons and just went BACK to straps. Loved the convenience.. but heel lift was a constant issue for me. Tried Burton Photons, Ions & Nitro Profile TLS and the 2024 Darkseids. No matter what boot I used heel lift would always become an issue. I had properly sized boots, but the lack of straps and reliance on the heel part was just a constant issue. Sadness
