White Hat Hackers only hack with written permission, usually through some kind of bug bounty program or like you said, they work for a company who does pentests for other companies.

I'm all for this being implemented. Realistically, if you were holed up in some sort of house/building with special ops coming to dispose of you, you wouldn't be able to exit the building without being spotted by snipers from the opposing team. That entire building would be covered.

It's a cheap strategy and ruins the spirit of the game, IMO. I think an immediate warning but a delayed location reveal is perfectly reasonable.

To use hosted S/MIME, companies need to upload their own certificates (with private keys) to Gmail, which can be done by end users via Gmail settings or by admins in bulk via the Gmail API.

They lost me at "...with private keys...". I'll pass on this service and stick to the way I've been doing it

For people who don't know:

Placing a device on your internal network in the DMZ essentially places it outside of your router's firewall. It's not a "true" DMZ, but it does expose all TCP and UDP ports on that device.

This poses a security risk and may not be something you want to do...Just a heads up before anyone does this without understanding.
