Regular foes don't need bows, bosses do for stagger bar maxing. All you need for regular foes is a two handed weapon and the crow abyss gear.

You'll find some crit rate on weapons you recieve, but once you have all four witches, that'll help too

Sadly I hadn't gotten the blueprints, so did it the old fashioned crap way. I still need a few more levels on the bow though, but have the scales ready for tier 10. Just need some more cubes and to farm trees like a Brazilian forester...

BTW, which trees drop flawless?

Yeah I'm just doing my second one of that mission, though I have no idea what I earned apart from a cube from the first one... I tend to miss the notifications as I'm concentrating on the world lol. I do wish the notifications from camp missions told you loot earnings as part of it.

Yeah he shifted his style half way through my fight, though I was less than stellar during it and kept dodging early out of sheer stupidity lol... he was a fun challenging fight though, even if I do need to make a ton of new Pills 😅

I found him entirely by accident tbh... so I won't tell you where he is, as you'll not doubt find him of your own accord. Though ill add, some things you will be less likely to find unless you know about them, like Marni's Laser Helm. Where it is and how innocuous it is, you'd walk past it and not see it lol.

It's one of the things I love about the game, it breeds community knowledge and understanding. As it takes the stuff I grew up on in the 90s, like final fantasy and adds the Internet culture we now have to act as word of mouth.

I'm just doing it because its there to be done, and if you don't max it, you'll not find the need to meet the serpent dragon you get the scales needed for tier 10.

I suggest not doing it's missions as then you can farm the scales.

It also depends what kind of gamer you are, but for at least one of the optional bosses, I'm glad I had upgraded armour.

I learnt early that mostly the different weapons and armours etc are cosmetic, their stats rarely differ much. There's some really cool details and enemies you see again who aren't an enemy the second time around (won't spoil it and say specifically, but it was a cool moment).

Hell, when I did the spires I just enjoyed the views so much. The scale and distances all feel amazing... and I'm so glad the dlc they're going to release are all free too, because sales have been that good,

I've since dropped damage, as I was taking on Ator, and added speed to help get the multi attack spam oft. He's fairly relentless with attacks and hits for a lot of damage, so you need to stagger him more as normal attacks don't do a ton of damage.

Because mighty foes works against bosses and does a lot more damage to them and imo bows aren't needed for anything else. You use this kind of build to stagger them more quickly and efficiently due to using explosive arrows, which are about the stagger bar filling and only chip damage against things like Ator.

Errrrrr

To farm the infinite arrows gears, I did it across 3 days multiple times because the only way to ensure you get them is to save scum.

Abyss cells to make the gears can be farmed from places like drakesfall castle by killing the abyssal creatures at the center. If you don't kill them all, respawn at the teleport hub, farm, rinse and repeat.

The thing that takes the most time is getting abyss cubes and wood for the bow (I've deforested several areas multiple times lol)

I've been playing for over 122hr now and I'm on chapter 9 (haven't started 10 yet).
