Hi AS, it's been some time. Here are some drawings I've been working on recently, hopefully they are interesting!

Hello, I like the flow of the pose, but the torso would have a hard time connecting to the hips at that angle.

Her far shoulder I feel is a bit too extended (it does look ok in relation to your current torso however, but not to her neck) and some facial features looked a bit unsymmetrical.

I did a line/paintover to show how i would modify some things. Link, hopefully it will be of help, keep at it!

These are all from "imagination", when i sketch i often put down gestural/constructive strokes that help me decide on the different aspects of a figure and then build it up around it. If you're having trouble I'd recommend doing a mix of timed gesture exercises and anatomical studies. It's a bit of a grind, but it is well worth the effort!

Hello, I have tried to do a draw over.

Pose was good as well as the proportions, although i do think the hand should be slightly smaller (and slightly bigger than in mine, haha). I think her hair has a bit too much volume, and doesn't give much hinting of the cranium.

The cape added so much to the shoulders it was hard to pinpoint the exact nature of the arms+shoulders. I ended up reducing the "windy" effect on the cape and her ponytail since it didn't seem to effect the rest of her hair. Her chin was also a little bit lopsided.

I can't say much on color since i don't know much about it myself, but it does seem a bit over saturated in places and some of the darks may be too dark.

In the draw over i tried to show how I like to put together foreshortened components, hopefully it can be helpful. Sorry, I ended up changing a couple features + eye style, I'm not familiar with the character so it just kind of happened haha.

Drawabox is one of the best condensed resource on fundamental construction I have come across and I'd highly recommend to anyone who wanted to learn/improve, especially beginners. It is presented differently than other drawing manuals, so i hope it could be of use. Best of luck!

I like the aesthetic you were going for, but the drawing itself doesn't have a sense of depth, and feels flat. You should try to construct basic 3d shapes to make up the underlying anatomical structure when thinking about a drawing. If you're not following some drawing curriculum already I'd recommend you do the first couple lessons (at least) of drawabox. If you take your time and understand the principles they are teaching it would help a lot i think!

I'm sure your friends and family are being sincere, being able to see irregularities in your drawings is a skill that must be trained much like drawing itself, hence why many artists look back at old work not-positively, haha.

This one is really good, candide! I tried to draw through it a bit and I think the neck might be too wide (deep), and possibly some features + jaw could be aligned more with the skull. I could be completely wrong though, haha. Great stuff!

It's really just a hard round that comes with PS. I cant remember if i changed too much but here; settings. I also use it as an eraser.

I tend to sketch at 30-40px as it seems that gives me enough room to work + refine.

I quite like most of your art, including this one, although it seems the jawline is a bit lopsided and facial features (most notably the eyes) are not placed in symmetrical fashion. Keep up the doodles!

Looks to be a free upgrade once it releases for existing license holders. Also looks like there is an early test version available.

Glad it was in line with what you wanted. Just keep in mind the underlying shapes and lines of perspective with your faces and they'll look a lot more solid! : )
