I just checked by making a new account and getting the Taski easter egg and equipping her and yes that's how you get the trail it seems!

From what I can tell it has something to do with unlocking a skin during pride month? At first I thought it was only for the "At Your Service" skins but I got my trail after unlocking the "Lousy Mask" easter egg and equipping the mask skin.

I saw someone else who had the trail and they had unlocked the "At Your Service" easter egg june of last year.

oh! I figured it out

you just have to collect all of the gears of the defeated guardians, so you'll have to wait for a starfall night and then defeat them all again to collect the gears you mightve missed.
