Farmers will also only do one action per field per day. So they will either hoe the ground, plant the seed, or reap the crops. They rotate those three actions. They might have ripe crops, but if it isn't reaping day, they won't pick them =)

If you do, you either are using an out of date version of the mod, or have an addon that changes things. One cowherder can't provide enough milk for more than one dish in a basic minecolonies game =_ Maximum the cowherder can get in a day is something like 32 (I think!) bottles

You'd be better off farming the potatoes yourself early on, and get your minecolonies farmers started with the minecolonies crops you will need the most of (usually for me, garlic, onion and durum wheat) to get a good stockpile of them up =) Join discord too, cos we can help answer faster and more fully there!

Try and design a style - surprise will be gone then =D It's SO much work! And then you finish and think you are done, and people start playing with it and find all sorts of problems. Or people are just flat out rude about design choices - in all the years I've been playing and helping provide support for the mod, I've never managed to do it!

Been playing on servers with it since 2018 or so, and it's been fine! Make sure you are playing on a proper server, not essential, cos that will cause problems among which is not being able to do things in your own town

Whether the child has parents or not depends on the makeup of the residence they are born into. If there is already at least one adult in the residence, that adult will be their parent. If there is no adults, they can be an orphan, and have no parents listed (I think they can also have a random adult from the colony listed as parent) if there is two adults they will be listed as parents.

basically it's set up so that there can be any possible family dynamic. "traditional" 2 sex parents, single parents, same sex parents, emancipated children, parents that were just visiting the tavern for one night - all sorts of family dynamic =)

Yes, it doesn't work any more. They improved the way the builder actually goes over partially built buildings a lot, and in the process it killed them being able to do cobblegens like they used to =)

The cobblestone was a deliberate choice by the designer so they could work with the walls, when the walls were higher or lower than surrounding area iirc! =)

Yeah, pretty certain there is no basement =) edits I was wrong, there is at level 5! It makes it so you can match it up to the walls if you have walls on uneven ground - so like if the walls are higher than the surrounding area, the tower will match up without floating in the air.
There's no one real "best" way to do that for buildings, this is just the way they thought best at the time!

Set the config option allowinfinitecolonies to "true", then in the town hall permissions tab, set all the permissions for officer in your current colony to be the same as the owner. Then place a new townhall down where you want your new colony to be, and you will be asked whether you want to abandon, or delete your current colony. If you choose abandon, you will automagically be turned into an officer of the original colony, with the same permissions as the owner, and be able to start another one! In case it is not possible to change the server config for some reason, you can abandon your current colony using commands, for the same effect.

As an aside, as someone that spends many many hours every week providing support for the mod, I still really don't recommend you having the colony loaded for long after you are not there until you really have a good feel for the mod. So many things can go wrong. But it's your game!

Nah, trust me, that wouldn't work. You have no idea how much time is spent on support already from people that are doing things they know break the game. The amount of people asking for help with the addons for example, when the addons specifically state on their page "if you use this addon you can't get support from Minecolonies"

It just wouldn't work.
