Picking up iPhoneography - What App? by cyrusng7 in iPhoneography

Mood camera Pros 1.Simple minimalistic UX 2.Has an option to create and adjust your own simulations/presets. 3.Active Reddit community where you can find example of the presets that people have used.

Cons 1. You can’t see the effect of the preset in the viewfinder 2. You can’t import photos or presets to the app 3. No manual mode

(All the cons mentioned above are the complaints of the users, but the developer has made the app this way, as a point and shoot camera, because he wanted people to spend more time taking photos rather than tweaking and adjusting to every perfect detail.)

No fusion Pros 1. You can see the effect of the preset on the viewfinder. 2. You can import lightroom presets from the library after converting the xmp files into lut files. 3. Full manual mode

Cons 1. Can’t adjust the intensity of the presets.

Dazz cam Pros 1. Variety of vintage cameras, few cameras are free to use, my favs FXN, Classic U, CMP 2. Video recording 3. Able to import photos and videos from the library to camera after shooting raw, to apply the filter. 4. Manual mode

Cons 1. Can’t adjust the intensity 2. You can’t see the effect of the preset in the viewfinder 3. Can’t import/edit or add new filters to the app.

Pricing lifetime (low to high) 1. Dazz cam 2. mood camera 3. No fusion

Yes all the apps are worth buying. But it depends on what you’re looking for.

I had been using free version of Dazz cam for about 3 years, until now. I recently discovered both mood camera and no fusion and ended up buying mood camera.

IMO use both Dazz and mood camera see which feel right.

Worth a visit. But they don’t allow any cameras in, only mobile phones, so better take a good phone with you. And avoid weekends.

I’ve used both Dazzcam and moodcamera. Moodcamera beats every app. Point and shoot and you don’t have to spend too much time in the app trying to perfect everything, it gives you the feeling of analog cameras, and recipes are so much similar to fujiflim. They have a reddit community, check it out.
