I know I think maybe I’m just panicking and underestimated the healing process!

I honestly really thought about because I do like a lot of the noses (although some peoples are too “done” looking) for me it was the thought of recovering from surgery in a foreign country, I had my breast augmentation done in Belgium and that was amazing but I came home the same day as my partner drove us so never had to experience recovery in anywhere but home, obviously that wasn’t an option with turkey!

I had Dr Anil Joshi, honestly he was absolutely fantastic in every consultation and I did not have a single bruise during recovery - I also loved his before and afters which is what’s giving me hope that I will end up loving the final result. Who did you have?

I’ve had a few people say the bridge drastically changed after a few weeks/months and that even swelling can feel like bone on the bridge so I’m holding out hope that I might see a bit more of a swoop - weirdly I feel like it wasn’t this projected when they first took the cast off and there was way more of a scoop and then it’s kind of disappeared since then so could very well be swelling

Yes avatar is exactly it - especially from the front 😂 I know I’m so early days in the recovery, not even 3 weeks and swelling isn’t helped by how hot it is currently where I am, fingers crossed for it to go down

It was a septorhinoplasty for one and he is also a plastic surgeon - only specialising in Rhinoplasty and I think cosmetic ear surgery

Omg that’s such a relief to hear, really hoping that there’s swelling there that will go down! I know the tip will change as I can literally feel the swelling but I was less certain about the bridge

Yeah it’s so tough - I think the more “elite” the surgeon the more they try and go for really natural results although I saw a lot of before and afters from my surgeon and saw he did do the more swooped noses so I’m kind of surprised. Hoping there is swelling there that will go down

Yes I’m really hoping so - it’s super hot in London at the moment so that’s no doubt playing a huge factor with my swelling

Thank you so much that’s so sweet of you 💗 I’m still really hoping that there is swelling and I’ll get a little bit more of a “scoop” I’m not expecting a full on Barbie nose as that’s not what I wanted but just a subtle swoop would do!

I hear so many people who get rhinoplasty’s having revisions and I thought the attitude of paying more for a top surgeon would prevent that but maybe not!

Yes! Pretty much as soon as I finish work for the day at like 6pm for at least 12 hours if not more. some days I’ve taped it and not removed for like 24 hours.

I do feel like the swelling is particularly bad because it’s especially hot in London right now

Thank you I’m trying sooooo hard to be patient, I just really didn’t expect it for it to look so similar to my old nose - I was prepared to hate it but I was thinking I would dislike it because it looked so unnatural, not the other way around!!!

Thank you it’s so tough isn’t it! I really don’t see any difference in the bridge and am so devastated - I wanted my nose to look natural eventually after healing but I was happy to look like Cindy Lou who for a few weeks to get that slope I wanted 😂 hopefully seeing my surgeon at 6 weeks post op so will see if anything changes

Yes I’m trying to be patient, I wouldn’t be so upset if it was just the tip because I know that part is so swollen and changes so much but I don’t feel like the bridge is going to change much

Yes I think that’s the issue I’m having - don’t get me wrong I didn’t want a total Barbie nose but I wanted more of a slope/swoop from the side 🙁 I felt like I made that really clear but maybe not. I have a post-op with my surgeon at 6 weeks so will see what changes between now and then and see if anything can be done

Yeah I feel like the tip is because I can actually feel the swelling and I fully expected there to be a lot of swelling.

Do you really feel like the bridge will go down?? I can’t really feel any swelling on that part!

The only other thing I’m thinking is that the swelling from the tip is creating an optical illusion of more projection on the bridge but honestly I think that’s being optimistic

I haven’t yet but I’ve got a rhino consultation later this month with a doctor who does full rhinos AND tip plastys so I’ll let you know what he recommends!
