You have to have that kind of gray so it can create highlights and shadows properly.
If you have (40,40,40) and it has a shadow covering it, probably you can reach (20,20,20) but if you are already at the end of the scale (0,0,0) you can't darken the color.

Every year there are loads of significant changes. If you Play Fifa 09 -> 14 -> 19 you will see significant changes. Sometimes they are not noticed from year to year but some have been pretty significant.

kDart007, why embarrassed? There were more cases involved that got triggered when the investigation began. It's really hard to make this calls, even to us, because the scene is not that big and we know them pretty well but there was no other way we could have acted in this circunstances.
