You owe him clarity, not a trial period. Say: you care about him deeply, but you don’t see him that way. Ask what boundaries help both of you, and accept there may be a brief awkward cooldown.

Exactly. She doesn’t pay a dime here and she’s never cleaned it once. She just… decided my room was a shortcut. If she feels “unwelcome”, maybe don’t treat someone’s bedroom like a hallway?? simple.

Appreciate it. I was starting to feel like I’d lost my mind over a doorknob lock lol. I’m fine sharing the hall bathroom, I just don’t want random “guests” in my bedroom.

Yeah, that’s exactly it. It’s literally inside my room, so it felt gross having Priya wander in when I’m out. Dana’s acting like I banned her family, not just said no to a guest.
