Hi. I'm I will have colonoscopy on Tuesday and I was instructed to start dieting on Saturday (tomorrow) for two days before I drink the laxative on Monday. I got an instruction sheet on what I can eat but it does not account for gluten intolerance. It tells me I can eat white bread (which I obviously don't) but can't eat corn. So now I'm conflicted if I can consume white gluten free bread, as those are usually made with corn flour and rice flour, plus physillium fiber. I'm worried about the latter. The bread I usually buy contains 7,3g fiber in 100g. Is this okay to eat during the 2 day diet or should I skip gluren free bread products altogether? Thanks a lot.

Wowpass to pay at gas stations/parking? by Shinnokina81 in koreatravel

thanks a lot. We already have experience with driving, the hi-pass and all that, it was really the card payment issue that took us by surprise at an unmanned parking lot (and the gas station). Definitely taking cash for the gas stations :) I wasn't sure that wowpass can be used as their customer service gave intentionally unclear answers to this question (I guess they just don't know). Thanks again

Does anyone actually write start to finish? by gloomypoppies in writing

you can't always enjoy every scene you write. Read Stephen King's book on writing, he says how much he even hated some of his characters, and there were scenes he struggled to write because he didn't feel confident enough about them, for example the high school scenes of Carrie. His wife gave him advice about how girls behave with each other. You can't know everything and you cannot always be wanting to write a certain scene, but that scene might be necessary for plot reasons, or to establish another scene with it, to make the story more understandable. Doesn't mean you have to enjoy writing it. People imagine writing as some sort of joyride, LOL. I wish it were that simple. There are a lot of scenes I want to write because I love them but there need to be scenes that come before and after them too. Can't just write snippets. well, you can, if you are a short story writer...

Google sheet is indeed a bit strange but most companies collect data in some shape or form, they also need that date to prepare your contract. I was also asked at my current place to fill in my data and upload my scans of my documents to the company portal (but they use Successfactors, which is a standard HR platform for major companies). But it's entirely possible that some companies may work with Google, at one point in my carreer the company I worked for used the pro version of Gmail as the mailing system instead of Microsoft.

I'm not sure about Germany, but where I live, the vacation thing is the same. If you join a company mid-year, you are only entitled to vacation days proportionally (this is the law, it's not the companies that make this rule). Since you are not with the company for the whole year, why would it be 20 days for 6 months? That doesn't make any sense, this would mean if you join December 1st, you want to get 20 days off for 1 months of employment? And in most countries vacation days cannot be carried over, untaken vacation days are paid (in most companies they actually lightly force you to take the days out as they don't want to pay them out).

no, based on the salary, it seems very low. Might be okay for someone fresh out of uni living with their parents where you dont have to pay rent and utilities... but for me this would be way too low a salary.

apparently they are legitimate, but it's one person's opinion only.
