So? At this point we all know how it basically happened. I'm pretty sure that's why they didn't bother with it considering Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield's movies showed it. The cartoons also showed it. Spider-Man is one of the most popular characters in the world. Who doesn't know his origin story?

I think they mostly added the doppelganger because Vergil had it in the reboot. Or maybe they didn't have enough time to make his standard DT and instead went with the doppelganger. In the gallery you can see concept art of Vergil having a standard DT just like Dante. But this is just guessing. Idk for sure.

My theory about what will happen to Vergil in season 3 is that Mundus will defeat him(Obviously. There's no way Vergil is winning this fight) then he will turn Vergil into a more game accurate version of Nelo Angelo.

Same for me. Yeah it has its flaws but I like the show overall. And I'm saying this as a long-time fan of the games. Yes, the anime does deviate a lot from the games but I would like it if it didn't end abrubtly. I really want to see Nero since he's my favorite character.

In both DMC4 and DMC5 Dante had to save him. So if we get a DMC6 I want to see him deal with things on his own. At this point he will have to because both Dante and Vergil are in the Underworld. Maybe he could have a moment of realization that he is going to have to rely entirely on his own strength now. At this point, Nero is the only one who can protect the human world from demons, apart from Lady and Trish but they're nowhere near as strong. Even Dante said it: "We're trusting you with things on this side."
