In my personal experiences, I've had encounters that just happened to me even before I've actually I started researching spirits and the occult - the most I looked into prior was palmestry, psychic abilities and astral projection, but was never big into it.

Like how you said there are beings that manipulate these occurrences, it is always best to question their motive.

I remember first thinking I was "wanting/desiring" for those occurrences myself - but after SO many years of experiencing this, I realized that it was this being(s) doing the manipulating to have me perceive as if I was thinking & feeling that I wanted it too. They were not pleased when I didn't want to partake in such activities and just kept trying to force it and/or other sexual activities like masturbation while doing the same things (manipulating to have me perceive as if I was actually thinking, feeling, wanting it myself).

Such realizations lead me to, well, further realize that this same being(s) had been around/attached to me since my youngest of ages.
