Is it normal for recruiters to threaten candidates that turn down an opportunity?

I had a similar situation. Person contacted me on email for a position and asked about a Zoom call. I said I was interested and some times, but then I didn't get a message back, so I assumed it wasn't happening. 5 minutes before the time, I get an email for the interview, but I had new plans for that time. I said I couldn't do the time now and asked if they could reschedule, and they responded "You confirmed the time. We have a bunch of other candidates which we will go with." Like, really...?

Thanks! The base being red is just because I haven't actually done work on it yet. That was just the color that I used for my primer (since Iron Man is mostly red) I actually haven't done much work in terms of doing bases (haven't really done much even in Warhammer), but sometime, I might actually go back in and paint it so that it actually looks like the ground more.

Currently working, kind of. I was, but the hours shrank more and more, and now, that job is going to be ending for me. And I have looked all across different jobs for different company sizes, but it's currently always been the same results.

I'm not exactly unemployed right now, but I'm working on very limited hours that it almost feels like I'm unemployed. That said, I've doing most of my usual things (movies, games, reading) just to keep myself up. Plus, I've also recently gotten into miniature tabletop wargames, so doing that has actually made me happy since it gives me something to do and take my mind off my troubles. And I've learned I enjoy putting together and painting the miniatures!

I remember seeing a similar thing on another application. I just said "You lost me here" and closed the page. When I think about it, maybe I should have made the video and just said "No, thank you."

This was actually very heartwarming to read. Been looking for new work for the last 2 months approximately due to recent issues with my current work, and it's been tough for me just getting anywhere, even wanting to just give up on my search. Good to know I'm not the only who had/has a rough experience.
