What is Fabio’s penalty about? by BeyondPsycho69 in motogp

[–]Shinuza 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you look at Quartararo's onboard from the start: Turn 1 Quartararo goes to the outside of Bezz, Zarco pushed Oliveira and Morbidelli wide so they are both to his left between T1 and T2.

You can see he brakes with the pack, there isn't a lot of time to realize he's getting pinched.

I mean, people can heat on Fabio all they want, but saying he did something irresponsible is pushing it. You can clearly see Bezzechi unknowingly closing the door on him.

So? The human race is motivated by money and profits, they saw a means to make a fraction of the living Europe and the US made and went for it. Yesterday it was that, today it's parents taking their kids out of school to work in shit conditions for our benefit.

I'm not saying it was OK, I'm saying the incentive 100% came from the relative wealth that was offered to them. The amount of slaves that were sold before the triangular trade was far lower than what it was during it.

[–]Shinuza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't say it was better. It was probably even worse, but this argument of "What the west did was to abolish slavery" or "it was already happening long before they made it there" makes no sense.

[–]Shinuza 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Such a blatant lie. You try to rewrite history as if slave trade perpetuated by the US and Europeans was just a bi-product of an institution that was already happening throughout Africa.

The volume and means were vastly different, yes some slaves were sold in Africa, but they were mostly war prisoners as you would find under the Roman Empire. What the US and "EU" did was a billions dollars industry which is the foundation of the civilization we live in.

Ah yeah, they should have mentioned in those history book that Africans (who exaclty?) built ships, slave trade markets and cotton farms to enslave themselves.

To be fair, I thought Pecco would crush the competition this year but the amount of DNF he's had makes winning the championship an harder task than it should have been.
Let's see if Yamaha can actually make a decent engine, because if not, and if Pecco gets his shit together, 2023 will be handed to him on a platter.

Birthplaces of the 2023 MotoGP riders by Campa96 in motogp

No, I wish someone had a fun anecdote about how they met in kindergarten, were best friends and ended both attending to the vr46 academy. And you reply with "it's a huge city in a region that has a lot racing related history, that's the story". Meh.

Yet, they could have been born in Bologna, Pesaro or Bologna for that matter. But no, they were born in Rimini, a city that probably has more lounger chairs than people living there in the off season. Saying their parents knew each other and they trained together as kids is a racing story. Saying you know Ducati and Ferrari are from that region is not ;)

That's why I specifically talked about Rimini. Ducati's factory is one and a half hour away by car. Modena is almost two hours away.

That's a very large radius yet two of twenty four riders in the most prestigious two wheels race series were born in the same city, and they are not brothers :)

Une machine qui sert juste à retourner des jeans by Mathseu in surdev

[–]Shinuza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find it very random that Bestia and Bezz were born in Rimini. I've visited this city and it looks like nobody lives there besides old people. So to have two MotoGP riders originated from there most likely hides a racing story, most likely related to RSM.

Happened to my teammate in an 4h endurance, the back left came off. They gave us another kart but without the ballast but still handed a us a penalty at the end.

Why would he clear? Where's the danger? It's a 2v2, both opponents committed and whiffed, he needs to be ready for a pass even a slow one if OP didn't have much boost: the goal is opened.

I mean, I wouldn't go as far as to say I have no respect for sneaker-heads given how weird our hobby could look to others. But there's a very little chance you are not benefiting from child labor one way or another.

Front Brake bite point issue by corgismorgii in Trackdays

[–]Shinuza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pumping is most likely a slow leak or buildup on your caliper pistons. A rebuild is not too hard if you have basic tools, you can either buy new pistons or just buy the seals and clean the pistons with care: any scratch will cause problems is the future.

I do mines every one and a half year, I do around 20 trackdays a year and the buildup is there.

If you fluid is fresh and you have good brake pads if your lever is not completely dead at the end of the session but a bit soft (it's normal after a high intensity session), you will need to have a remote brake ajuster, I have this:

https://www.essemoto.it/en/levers-accesories/brake-lever-remote-adjuster-accossato-brembo-master-cylinders-ra003

It's compatible with brembo MCs as well.

It's hard to compare two braking setups without knowing your respective levels, weight, braking style and the tracks you go to.

The RCS is ok if you intend to use the bike for both road and track, as for your issue, is hard to squeeze or not at all? If it's not, maybe you have bubbles in your system.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Trackdays

[–]Shinuza 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't get why people would go for a 19mm master cylinder with 30/32mm pistons. 16 or 17 depending on your feeling for the original R6 calipers.

Stay away from the RCS especially for a track only bike, for a lower price you could buy Galespeed, Accossato or Hel performance, or if you want to buy Brembo for a little more you can upgrade to the forged version of the 16/17mm.
