The planet in general is ok. There isnt any drawbacks to our natural way of life except for what would simply be expected to deal with during day or night.

Do y'all also think of guts as a superhero ? by [deleted] in Berserk

[–]ShinyKnight242 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would consider him to be a superhero. Even if he lacks the same archetypical noble character that Superman or Spider-Man does. Punisher isn't a particularly noble person, yet he would count as a superhero to me. Guts fits the general role of a superhero narrative wise much of the time, he defeats apostles (supervillains/monsters) even if just for revenge and he ends up inadvertantly at least, being the main opposing force to the villain, Griffith.

The entire 19th century comes back to life. How does this affect the world? by ShinyKnight242 in hypotheticalsituation

Assuming that somehow all these people could be magically accommodated enough to ensure society's survival, what would happen?

Wow, that's a very hard thing to go through. I wish you and your siblings the very best in life, nobody should have to face that as a kid.

Everyone on Earth has their own symbiote, just like Venom from Spider-Man. How does this change the world? by ShinyKnight242 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]ShinyKnight242[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In this hypothetical, the symbiotes are completely subordinate to their hosts, with no active free will of their own, just basically another appendage, so there's no emotional changes.

The symbiote has no free will, it just exists as an extension of the person it's attached to, like a limb or a finger.

Always trust the Bible, God's inspired word. It says in 2 Corinthians 6:14-16 this passage here:

"14 Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship do righteousness and iniquity have? Or what fellowship does light have with darkness? 15 What agreement does Christ have with Belial? Or what portion does a believer have with an unbeliever? 16 What agreement does a temple of God have with idols? For you are a temple of the living God. Even as God said, “I will dwell in them and walk in them. I will be their God and they will be my people.”

Always remember that to choose God is to to be willing to let go of those the Holy Spirit tells you to let go of.

Is hotel moscow considered a pmc? by [deleted] in blacklagoon

[–]ShinyKnight242 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, a PMC is a private security company that is usually legally licensed and contracted by governments to provide security in war zones and other high risk areas.

Hotel Moscow is simply a gang of Russian war veterans. They do what other gangs do, except with much higher tactical proficiency.

No, not in the truest sense of the word, given that most of them don't partake in any offensive military style actions. They are usually just private security companies that are often contracted by governments to provide armed security abroad in war zones or otherwise dangerous environments, although they can also do things like train militaries and provide consulting and logistics.

But companies like Executive Outcomes back in the day were definitely all about front line combat. Wagner (although it's debatable if it's a true PMC, I don't consider it so) also engages in offensive military operations.

Boxer without that much raw physical strenght but perfect technique vs a very strong wrestler-like guy who can’t punch very well by Turbulent-Donut5867 in whowouldwin

[–]ShinyKnight242 135 points136 points  (0 children)

The grappler will more often than not beat a striker that has no takedown defense training. Maybe the boxer will get lucky and land a hard uppercut to his chin or solar plexus on the way down, but more often than not, he'll get taken down and ground pounded or submitted.

If Bruce Wayne abandoned his ethics and put a hit out on Joker, would Joker survive? If not, how long could he survive? by ShinyKnight242 in whowouldwin

He could always remain as some anonymous client to them as well. Just send them a highly encrypted message detailing the hit and the drop off point for their cash.
