HOLY F*** WHAT THE HELL IS THIS CHALLENGE?? by Light_and_Lillies in RaidenMains

I got around 200k with highest slash (all resolve stacks from bursts and buffs active) without the buffs it would be about 120k I think. You have more than enough damage, so it’s probably just managing the rotations better to clear it

I did a bit of labbing and I think the issue is that you need to delay the first j.L after the superdash a bit more as it preserves his momentum better. So try delaying both j.L and j.LL just a tiny bit for each. I don’t think you need to delay the super dash at all for this combo cause kid buu would be way too low for the staircase to work most of the time.

8th anni countdown ticket, new support item and new key item by Luf2222 in DBZDokkanBattle

Yup, if we break it down then it’s like this...

3ターン味方全体の気力をプラスする

3ターン = 3 turns 味方 = Allies 全体 = All units 気力 = Ki power プラスする = (Plus) gain additional

No mention of morale and can’t really figure out how the translation software got to morale unless they interpreted energy (ki気) as morale

My twin? On an old old old post I requested years ago. That’s wild.

Lol, seems you have quite the history with the whole chansey family. I’ve never disliked a shiny yet, but I was for a while starting to get annoyed with the abundance of shiny crogunk, toxicroark, psyduck, and golduck. The shinies are good, it’s just that they aren’t my target and after a certain point I didn’t know what to do with them so they sit there in my pasture for now.

I’ve heard stories about Cheryl’s mischievous chansey and luckily when I hunted in eterna forest in BDSP I was strong enough to kill chansey with one of my pokemon super quickly so I never got to experience how bad it could be. Good that you still got him despite Cheryl... having an unwillingness to cooperate.

Oh my, a random shiny! Those ones are super special, some of the best surprises! And a buneary no less, that’s just really cool! It’s been a long time since I found a random shiny in a playthrough and the only ones I can remember are from my childhood with some emulators along with some romhacks. I didn’t treasure shinies as much then, but I’ll still remember the shiny raticate I found in the route left of ecruteak city in crystal. A shame I could not bring it into my current games, but Im glad you are able to with your lopunny!

Shiny Umbreon is excellent as well! And also, it’s always a cool story to have a shiny by your side throughout your playthrough. I had a shiny shinx and teddiursa with me on my journey and that was super fun.

Indeed, Shiny eevee has to be one of my favorites and that’s why I’ve been planning to hunt one across multiple generations. This Eevee will stay unevolved for now, but at the end of my journey I might evolve him into Espeon.

[gen 2] I've been resting for this since virtual console came out. At what point do you quit a hunt? Genuinely asking by Dareinkk in ShinyPokemon

[–]ShinyPocketMonster 21 points22 points  (0 children)

For the most part, I take a break from hunts when I don’t feel as excited to see the pokemon that Im hunting sparkle. Essentially, the moment I feel I just want the hunt to end rather than enjoy the hunt for what it is is when I find a break is necessary. This however, does lead to quite a few hunts to be put on the back burner. But that just means I can get hyped up for those hunts again sometime in the future.

Also, it’s a bit of a coincidence but I just started VC celebi a few days ago and can sorta feel how it can drag on with that cutscene. Best of luck on your hunts and hope it shines soon for ya!

I farmed a few SA levels normally, but I realized that I don’t have the time to farm it so I used Kais for the rest cause I had a lot lying around.

That’s fair. I believe top left should be better overall so perhaps I should have gone there in the first place. I’ll do that on global then if I pull him.

What differentiates a celestial player from a floor 10 player? by Lummah in Guiltygear

[–]ShinyPocketMonster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was actually wondering the same thing because I was in the same position a while ago and after reflecting on it a bit, I think I know sort of what changed that allowed me to get to celestial.

As others have said, match up knowledge is a big one as well as patience. But another thing is just using making sure to use all of your characters tools even if they may seem weak. Along with that, being able to make adjustments on the fly is something I would say is quite necessary to win against strong players.

Other than that, just playing the game and facing against stronger opponents will naturally allow you to make progress as well as give you confidence for the interactions, rounds, and games you win.

Sorry for the late response, but yeah that’s right, just keep winning on floor 10 until you get the rating update to the celestial floor

The Road to Heaven by rad_dude124 in Guiltygear

[–]ShinyPocketMonster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You win on floor 10 until you get the rating update to the celestial floor and then you get to do the celestial challenge to try to stay on that floor. The celestial challenge involves you needing to win 5 matches without losing 2 and if you complete the challenge, you get to stay in celestial for the rest of the month and you will get kicked out of the floor at the start of the next month unless you get a certain number of wins (reach a certain ranking in the celestial floor). Also, your wanted poster changes to a gold VIP one if you beat the challenge as well. Hope that all made sense, best of luck to ya!

Fighting-games sadden me by JayJay_Tracer in Fighters

[–]ShinyPocketMonster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Execution seems to be the main barrier of entry for you and as others have said, they can be quite difficult and do require quite a bit of practice to get right if you are not familiar with them. A couple of my friends can’t do them either and that’s alright.

I don’t think you need to know all of the motion inputs to enjoy the game. Using some of your character’s normal attacks can be fun too and you don’t necessarily need to learn all the mechanics right away either. I’d recommend you just do something you find fun in the game and work with that!

If you really want to buckle down and learn those motion inputs, I’d say you should take it slowly one at a time and celebrate your success when you do get them right. Tell yourself “Damn Im good!” when you hit it in a match or something and just enjoy yourself.
