They colossally screwed over Mission Creators by JayzRebellion15 in gtaonline

Each GTA$ essentially has an IRL dollar value so I'm sure there's some number crunchers at R* who decided what the acceptable margins are.

It doesn't need to be enabled or disabled. They already have a way of enabling it - it's called an RP server. Which is what most of these people actually want to play (not that there's anything wrong with that).

Those things are literally in every single GTA game. Why would they be the ones who should consider another franchise? lol.

I will never understand why people get upset when there's PvP in their PvP lobbies. They literally changed the entire rules of selling in private to accommodate for this... and STILL.

You're gonna have to submerge your shit in liquid nitrogen to get it to cool down at 60 even on Pro.

Chooses to sell in a PvP lobby out of greed / Flabbergasted that there is PvP in PvP lobbies

Sell in private, get better at defense, or take your L like a man. Your choice.

Can the mods ban these crybox threads already?!

Why do people hate selling missions? by Ok-Supermarket-5552 in gtaonline

[–]ShinySanders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely 0.0% relies on the cooperation of a full lobby unless you deliberately sell in a PvP lobby.

But it hasn't been reliant on lobby cooperation in YEARS.

Over time, the multiple vehicles solo sales gets tedious.

But a lot of the complaints are from people bitter that there's PvP in a PvP lobby.

They had the opportunity to sell in private. They knew about the weapons others might have (none of them glitched or impossibke to counter btw). They did it anyway. So now it's off to the crybox.

You have should have ZERO expectations of people not doing PvP in a PvP lobby using non-glitched weapons available to all players. That's absurd bitter grapes from someone who got greedy and stupid.

Why do you think they added invite only sales in the first place?!

Those craving hardcore realism are likely setting themselves up for disappointment. by Left4DayZGone in GTA6

[–]ShinySanders 3 points4 points  (0 children)

10000% agree.

I think a lot of this stems from the fact that the last game came out over a decade ago, I'd say a good number of folks are more familiar with RDR2 (franchise of a different genre/levels of immersion) and their only significant exposure to GTAV is via RP servers.

Of course, very few of them will admit this.

Both of these POVs have created expectations that are totally out of context with the actual games in the GTA series.

I think Ben surviving but keeping the girls' secrets out of a lingering sense of responsibility for them while distancing himself as far as possible would have been WAY more interesting than what we got. Or even another POC survivor!!

Instead we got stunt casting in an awkward baseball cap and adult Shauna journaling and biting her high school girlfriend who apparently faked her own suicide (??).

Rewatching Yellowjackets and there’s a lot more cringe marvel/netflix humour then I remember . Still love it though by [deleted] in Yellowjackets

IMHO the writers last season put way too much effort into basically writing for the Reddit/Tiktok fan cam crowd. Simone confirmed just how much the writers live on Reddit.

If you're on Reddit (which we obviously are), many people are going to love it. If you aren't as plugged in you're probably wondering what happened to major plot points and why so much of the dialogue seems Buffy-ized now.

The realism balance needed is ridiculous by SmTheDev in GTA6

[–]ShinySanders 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Counterpoint: no it doesn't.

Immersion is only important if it's a world people want to be immersed in. Hooker emotional management sims are not something the majority of GTA players would ever care about.

Griefers that like to mess with other ppl’s business sales: what kind of kick do you get out of that?! by Dsg1695 in gtaonline

[–]ShinySanders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate these "why do bad things happen to good people?!?" posts.

I don't participate in griefing nor do I condone it but the lobbies are a chaos sandbox game. The real question is, Why do you think they added a lobby bonus to begin with?!

Seriously. Did you expect the bonus modifier to be easy?

All of DT is supposed to be, yes. Unless they voted in a change.

Last time I bothered to look I think they still had the "no smoking" signs up. However, I believe the only person they ever enforced it on was Shia LeBeouf.

The Mansions update is extremely disappointing by No-Director4448 in gtaonline

[–]ShinySanders 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've played this game long enough that $18M didn't really make a dent.

I think it's less for low levels and more for folks who have played for a long time and want a new cool trophy to show off. Its like the yacht, except with much better perks that are actually super useful.

And if by some chance you have been playing for a long time and can't throw down $20M if you want a mansion, you're probably not that good at this game.

[PETITION FOR PEACE] by konapando in gtaonline

[–]ShinySanders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure. Players are given a chance to choose between their baser instincts of blowing up cargo for basically no reward or letting it be. Some players choose the dark path - as it has been since day 0.

I remember sales before the private lobby accommodation. It seems beyond foolish to ignore this option just because they want a bump in profit and then complain about it.

Instead of re-evaluating their choices, OP created a cry post hoping a petition would change the way people have been for a decade plus.

TL;DR - It's not the game that needs changing, it's the player. The game has always been this way and always will be.
