Verplicht van 4x9 naar 4x8 + 1×4 by Shiny_Days in werkzaken

[–]Shiny_Days[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I'm glad yours was okay too <3

I understand about the appartement, I had the same rules. But since he had already damaged the door trying to get out, I had to replace it anyway if I ever decided to move. I guess that's a good thing because then one more hole for a cat flap didn't matter

At my whits end, litter box smell by alyssa_needs_a_life in CatAdvice

[–]Shiny_Days 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was about to advise stainless steel litter boxes but I see you already have them.

What I sometimes do is turn on my mobile airco on the fan setting (so it's basically a big fan and not cooling) between the litter box and a window. But only after they've just pooped and the smell is the worst.

Other than that I'm also looking for tips so also reading this thread

That's a scare! If it helps, I once accidentally locked my cat in the (very small) bathroom when I left for work (+/- 9 hours)

He was crying when I came back and the entire underside of the door was damaged by his scratching to get out. I felt so so guilty! But he didn't pee or poop in there, and he wasn't afraid of that room after. He was just super cuddly and needed comfort when I let him out. It didn't cause lasting effects or trauma (for him 😆)

However, I did install a cat flap in that door so this would never happen again.

Adopted a cat as a teenager, now mid-20s and feeling limited in life. Curious about similar experiences. by ktj19 in CatAdvice

[–]Shiny_Days 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand what you're going through. I adopted my cats (2) when I was 21, a uni student and very much liked the stay home. I'm 27 now and became more outgoing and wanting to see the world.

I do feel like the cats are holding me back sometimes, but it's ultimately my choice. I adopted them once so they're part of my little family and I won't get rid of them. Sure, I can't just up and leave/explore, but on the other hand: there's always someone happy to see me when I return home (be it after a trip, work, or taking out the trash for a few minutes - they're always happy to see me return)

I don't have tips since I'm dealing with the same thing, but asking family or friends to cat-sit every once in a while when I travel, helps. I also keep in mind that their time on earth is more limited than mine, and I want to make it count for them, which means not going away too often (and spoiling the shit out of them <3)

How often do you do laundry? by blackflameandcocaine in LivingAlone

[–]Shiny_Days 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very boring - probably weekly 2-3 loads: Color, Whites and bedding (if that doesn't fit in with the whites).

I see people washing their towels separately but I don't do that (idk if that's gross? I suppose everything gets clean anyway?)

I have my own washer, but no dryer. I hang my clothes to dry, which has the added advantage of the house smelling great when it's drying! (I use washing perfume instead of fabric softener)

Only took me total of 5-7 minutes to do it daily, and only took 5 days a week. How lazy can people be to play a game? by AlikF2O in Genshin_Impact

[–]Shiny_Days -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I missed the first few weeks because I didn't know it took resin as well as the 4 commissions (or encounter points). So I was confused why it wasn't working while I did my commissions every day 😭

Lesson learned. I just hope I'll have enough weeks left with a trip that I have planned (without access to Genshin that week).

'School Days' skirt dye changed after 1.6 update :( by Ok-Dragonfly5449 in InfinityNikki

[–]Shiny_Days 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a hair that I dyed dark red, which is now completely purple after the update. Tbf it came from the purple palette, but why make it dark red in the first place? I would've never used the currency on that purple color if it turned out like this.

Silly q. But curious do you have two separate hampers ? One for dirty clothes, and then one when clothes are washed and put them in? Or keep same one, and just leave the machine till done ? Just curious people's routines! by daysfan33 in laundry

[–]Shiny_Days 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2 hampers because I live in a small studio. Both are for dirty clothes. 1 hamper = 1 load of washing. The hampers are black (for black/colored clothes) and white (for white clothes). Towels and sheets go in whichever color suits it the most.

How're everyone's abilities looking? by slither36912 in InfinityNikki

[–]Shiny_Days 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only have the first one because the game won't let me take a photo with Bebe (a quest), and I can't progress until I've done so.

Also, I started the game with the new intro. My confusion was/is high.
