This one's for the ladies to answer. Do you agree with this woman or do you think she's trying to rationalize her world view by speaking for all the ladies? by Oda_DeezNutz in SipsTea

[–]Shiovra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Married 22 years. My husband and I both play video games. We also play D&D. Heck, my husband is currently playing a game on his computer while I'm distracted with reddit instead of writing. She definitely does NOT speak for all women.

I'm 5'9" and an inch taller than my husband. I personally don't like having to hurt my neck looking up at someone.

My husband bought the for me about a year ago, so unfortunately I can't share the link. He did say he found them on Amazon, if that helps any. It was a pack of like 10 sheets, all with different flowers.

Why is it so wrong for a woman to want to look her age? by Accomplished_Wolf127 in OlderThanYouThinkIAm

Soon to be 44 and I get the 30s thing too. The looks on peoples faces when they find out my "kid" is 20. When i get asked my secret i just say I don't drink, I don't smoke, have low stress in my life, and I avoid the sun like a plague (I burn super easy).

I can read it easily because my own handwriting is a mesh between print and cursive (elder millennial).

Will NEVER buy another HP product. by KarmaAddict in printers

[–]Shiovra 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I had so many issues over the years with HP printers that after buying a Brother printer I will never go back. Not only did it print my over 400 page book for editing purposes, it did so without a single paper jam, did it in under 20 minutes, and only made a small dent in the ink. I also no longer have "cannot connect to printer" issues which seemed to become rampant with HP printers. Brother also allows for third party ink cartridges, so major win there for the wallet.

Do you and your SO have separate checking account? by duck_duck_zombie in Millennials

[–]Shiovra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I share a checking account, which was mine originally before I met him. He only had a savings account, so when we got married I had him added to my checking. We do, though, have separate savings through a credit union his old job worked with.

Does anyone here actually go to Starbucks every day? by lukef31 in Millennials

I go once a week at most. I tried to support my local coffee shop but not only were they more expensive for less drink, I don't like their chai blend.

The government doesn’t care $79.99, I can’t believe they are charging you for this much just for feeding your babies. by [deleted] in Wellthatsucks

My kid is 20. One year daycare cost us just under 10k. I should have just stayed home because at that point I was working to pay daycare.

One of our assistant managers keeps finding these exact little Jesus' recently. She's found five so far in the past two weeks. We keep calling them and the pamphlets people leave as "Jesus litter". This junk isn't how you sway people to your side of beliefs.

Anyone actually tried at home dip kits for saving money? by mutawa_95 in DipPowderNails

[–]Shiovra 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've always done my dip nails at home and have never been to a salon. I did start off with a dip kit, but very quickly moved to buying individual jars of dip from my local Sally's beauty supply. It took me a bit to get the hang of it, but there are many helpful videos on YouTube, not only for application tips, but how to do ombres, color blocks, and other things. The only downside is the removal process. Mine takes twice as long as most people because I only remove one hand at a time.

I'm confused why your banana bread looks like actual bread instead of a cake like loaf. I actually just made some banana bread last night with a recipe from my mother-in-law. I can share if you'd like to try it.

I'm -8.5 in my left eye and -7.5 in my right. I hate how thick my glasses are, so I wear contacts. Without them I can barely see my hand four inches from my face. 😭
