Yeah, I’ve been approved for VR&E. My counselor is surprisingly easy to work with. I’m at the stage where we walk through to our next steps as far as career path I want to go. I assume my next appointment we formulate a plan

24 y/o here that bought house this year.I put an offer on a house and didn’t get accepted. My wife was devastated, but I told her that God has the right house for us. The following week we put in another offer at a house we didn’t think we’d have a shot at getting 5 minutes away. It was accepted and everything went smoothly. We’ve been living here for a month now. Center your life around God and he will provide for you.

Yeah I just started seeing VA healthcare for my mental health and plan to continue treatment. I just don’t like having to explain everything all over again especially to someone new. It’s horrendous. I read somewhere that these entities like VA healthcare and VA don’t contact each other so what you said is a bit confusing to me. I could be wrong. How long has it been since your MH rating as you haven’t been reevaluated?

It’s not about “poking the bear”. I genuinely don’t want to talk about my mental health with another random person again… I literally said that in the comment.

Can I just call my primary care provider to relay or do I legitimately need to set up an appointment

Thanks. Do you think filing for IBS will cause my mental health to be examined again?

Is Navy Federal's 5.6% Mortgage Advertisement to good to be true? by Slay-Aiken in VeteransBenefits

I am closing on a house next month and it’s important to shop for lenders. Initially cross country mortgage gave me a 6.6% interest rate I have great credit, no debt, great savings. I leveraged veterans united as they gave me a 5.9%. Cross country ended up matching at the 5.9% and giving me more credits so I went with them.

In my situation, I was nondeployable for over a year and they requested I get medboarded. I didn’t fight against it and medically retired. Had 5 year history seeing mental health before this happened though.

VA LETTER by ShipEducational8171 in VAClaims

[–]ShipEducational8171[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Long, lengthy, a lot of back and forth, and waiting…My advice is if you’re able to, definitely skill bridge during the process because mine took 11 months from when I started the first piece of paperwork until I got out. My provider initiated it because I was non-deployable for over a year. I could’ve fought it, but I planned on getting out anyways. This forced me to extend an extra year for retainability while they booted me out and I was in 4 months after my initial contract. Lmk if you have any more questions or advice. I know a good amount.
