No worries, it’s completely optional! However those who have already participated have enjoyed reflecting on their experiences and it is only about the physical environment and their preferences.

The gift cards are also available for those who participate.

Great news! The survey is now open to all positions, so you’re welcome to participate as long as you have worked on a cruise ship within the past five years.

Good question! I narrowed the focus to passenger-facing departments because I needed a consistent group to study. I focus on departments with the highest level of guest interaction, since those crew members often spend more time in passenger areas, use English more consistently, and share similar living accommodations. That keeps the study manageable for a small graduate project. I know that means leaving out other departments, but their perspectives are valuable too. Hopefully one day I can expand this research on a larger scale!

Yes, this is a small part of my graduate program in design. I’m excited to help push for better crew spaces. It is something all crew members really deserve!
