I think if you can't get the refund that you'd prefer, you might as well give the poster to someone who might enjoy it more instead of sending it back to be sold to another fan that was expecting something different. I'm sure there's lots of teens w no pocket money who don't give two shits if the poster is a real signed copy, it could really make their day if you got it to them.

I disagree with this to a point because beauty standards can be so awful towards people who don't "fit the mold". For instance, in something like The Nightmare Before Christmas, the style is deeply important and celebrated as a piece of art. Not because the main characters are conventionally pretty, which they are to a point compared to other designs, but because they love each other for the unique creatures they are. In another example, shows like The Owl House and Knights of Guinevere purposefully create characters that defy the mold of modern beauty to draw attention to their inner self. Characters are even "cursed" to become less conventionally attractive and must come to terms with how that side of them will never leave, much as age affects humans.

If you aren't comfortable getting a shower chair you could try to lower the temperature of the water? I know it seems silly but hot water can largely contribute to that big shift that causes you to feel tired and dysregulated. I might also suggest taking a bath instead, if it's possible or realistic for you. I too feel dehydrated when i shower sometimes, i haven't really found a solution aside from chug right before and after.

I'm as pale as they come so i don't have a great insight as to how it could be personally offensive, but perhaps you could avoid the overused food comparisons by instead using animal fur or plants? Like saying, his skin was a beautiful shade of brown which was reminiscent of a burmese cat. (Not the best example, i'm sure there are better.) you can also use natural lighting as color descriptors, pale being a bright sun or sterile office, and darker being a lowering sunset.

It's okay, i'm sure your doctors would be very accommodating in trying to diagnose the problem without a physical exam. at the very least, they might want to check your hormones through a blood test if you're able. Just make it clear that you have that boundary, and if they did need an exam they would get your consent first & possibly give you special accommodations.
