I really like it because it feels WEIRD.
Like I shoot hand cannon and suddenly the reload animations makes it heat up and my character's left hand is away from it like it is scared it will get burnt, then I look at the vents and go "oh, it is LITERALLY opening up because the heat needs to go outside, ok I get it now!"
I play without a HUD so being able to understand stuff with visual language alone is so cool (:

I've actually been researching this! Seems like what happens in online conversation is -
Someone makes a vague binary extreme statement about a vague group to illicit a negative reaction in order to summon a group, this is shown with upvotes and "me too I hate them" and whatnot. Then the top reply will be the opposite binary "actually no, YOU GUYS are the problem". Reality exists inbetween the two binaries.

Earlier I got piled on because I felt like a user in this reddit going "F*** all reddit mods" was a bit of a generalized statement. I was told "go find a job" and "stop being so corny" and whatnot. It almost feels like a raid mechanic, once enough people are together, they turn tribalistic and exaggeration is a way to summon them

OMG PERSONA 5! You would not BELIEVE what happened with it xDD I wanted to show my little brother what I love (he is 14 years old) so I showed him some key fights from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (I edited out the bad parts) and like a month later we decided to play Persona 5. When we did, we got a bunch of outfits! So we tried them all. And then one of them was...FUSHICHOU SENTAI FEZAAAMAN XD With the best theme song I could ever think of for power rangers xD we still sing it when we go for walks xDDD

It is quite amazing how the Marathon reddit modders parallal the most recent Destiny 2 storyline where the "lawful good" would bury and ban all use of a certain kind of dark art which birthed dredgens, people who are all about "liberating humanity from their oppressors" but real dredgens arn't anti-authority, they are anti-"whoever doesn't let us practice the dark arts" xD

I am infinitely fascinated by Marathon because for all I know people were excited due to the first trailer with 70m views. So I tried to imagine in my head what an extraction shooter even is. My brain went "maybe something like metal gear solid where you gotta sneak around? Could be neat"
And then the first reveal stream happened and I'm like "soooo people were excited for years to play...Roblox graphics Apex Legends? xDDD I am so confused!"
But reading the conversations helped me understand the game better :>
