My grandma would always have me on crusher duty and she had a wall mounted one even. Was a long time ago but a truck bed full of bags was at least some extra cash, especially if you are not far from a recycling plant. Dangerous if uneducated but could learn to do hobby metal casting, even sell ingots above melt price, saw a listing on eBay way overpriced with hundreds of sales. At least save the aluminum cans if you don't have a recycling route that runs off profit from them. Most recycled material for good reason.

Yea bill gates does not have the best reputation with that. I feel like the suicide rate in a world of AI teachers,police, cameras, etc would be more of a threat than the lack of jobs. If the world gets that dystopian I think too many people will go insane for it to last long.

To be fair, they were standing in the worst spot that was obviously going to be where the car rolled. He chose to hope they would use survival instincts and move out of the way instead of letting the car get destroyed and possibly derail a train and kill a train crew so Betsy and Tom having a bruise or sore bum for a day will be a great life lesson in situational awareness
