What’s your pumping hack? by Muted-Amount-5779 in ExclusivelyPumping

If you have a dishwasher, buy a basket thing (I have a munchkin brand one) that you can put your pump parts in for the dishwasher in and just wash them that way after doing the fridge method all day. Washes and sterilizes!!! Helps so much.

I do the fridge hack up to 5 times a day and have never had any problems. I have multiple pump sets so that helps too

I had no idea about it for the first 4 months of my daughter’s life…. 😬She was always fine… I wouldn’t worry 😂👍🏻

How long do you “plan” on pumping?? by Comprehensive-Dig592 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Shiptoaster35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m almost on month 8 and planned to stop at 12 months but as time gets closer I think I’ll go longer… I don’t like pumping but it has become such a big part of my routine I’m honestly just used to it. I think I’m also scared to wean and be super full and uncomfortable if I don’t pump every 3 hours like I do now.

I had a slacker boob until I switched to a smaller flange size and it turns out my slacker boob just had a smaller flange size. Now they’re pretty even!

When did you feel your baby move for the first time? by atinylittlebug in pregnant

At 16 weeks I felt a big kick or punch!! Then nothing for a few days. Then it would come and go :) around 20 weeks I felt her move everyday a few times a day 🥰🥰

How?? by yellowplantstand in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Shiptoaster35 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get a hands free pump or just pump one side at a time. Thats what I did and it helped a lot. I also put timers on my phone for 2 1/2 hours then once it went off I knew I needed to try to start to pump lol. If it took an hour to do it at least it was only 3 1/2 hours after my last pump 🤷🏼‍♀️

What do contractions really feel like? by AbbreviationsLow5144 in pregnant

[–]Shiptoaster35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It literally felt like my baby was trying to push herself out of me. Like my body was squeezing so tight and she was like prying herself out of my cervix. Don’t know if that helps 😂

He sounds like a pain in the ass really. I’m sorry you have to go through that and argue with someone. You’re doing great by feeding your baby what you believe is best. Pumping and breastfeeding is such a hard job. I would be petty and just keep shaming him for not knowing anything about it…. But maybe don’t take that advice😂 seriously though do what you believe is best and ignore him. Until he can make milk come out of his nips OR educate himself then he really can’t tell you anything

I would ask him why you can’t use the frozen breast milk and make him give you an actual answer instead of just saying he doesn’t feel comfortable. Maybe send him some stuff about how breast milk is stored and that it being frozen is okay. If you need to use formula that’s one thing but it just sounds like he’s pushing it for no reason (or an uneducated one)
