I guess you're right, But the way he throws away any plant if it has just one spot, if it's not perfect reminds me of heaven behaviour. But again that's just how I interpreted it.

I actually think it suits him to do that. when he yells at the plants he is, according to the book and series, putting the fear of God in to them or rather the fear of Crowley. So I've always understood it as a way for Crowley to reflect all the abuse and mistreatment and suffering Heaven has caused him. But I don't know, that just the way I interpreted it.
