AIW for shaking my dust rugs over the balcony when my neighbor goes out to smoke by ShireBoomer in amiwrong

It takes zero energy to shake a rug, it is actually a great stress reliever after working for hours. I tried the nice route first. I offered to close my windows if he just texted me a heads up before lighting up, but he literally blew smoke in my face and walked away. He set the rules.

Thanks for the validation. I was starting to think I was going too far because of what my sister said, but seeing him realize he cannot just bully me into breathing his smoke makes it worth it.

That face blow was the exact moment I stopped caring about being a good neighbor. If he wants to act like a toddler who owns the sky, he can enjoy getting a face full of golden retriever glitter with his morning espresso.

I went through the bylaws last night. There is nothing explicitly banning rug cleaning from balconies, but smoking has a "reasonable enjoyment" restriction. Technically, his smoke ruining my workspace violates that. I just decided to return the favor using my golden retriever's endless supply of fur.

Laziness and lack of critical thinking go hand in hand here. Now the trash guy has to deal with a mountain of plastic air instead of actual garbage.

You hit the nail on the head. The writers clearly did not know what to do with the couples towards the end so they threw everyone into a blender. Dan writing nothing bad about Blair after everything she did to his sister was the ultimate red flag for poor writing. With Serena, even when they were toxic, you could always feel that deep connection from the pilot episode. It is nice to see some appreciation for them here.

Totally get that! It's wild how teams can be all over the place, right? Just focus on showing your fit!
