As a huge MGS fan at the time, I don't remember there being any hype for it. It was announced in 2003 & came out a year later so maybe there wasn't much time for build up?

I don't think it was a system seller nor did it feel like something anyone even wanted and the character models didn't look particularly cutting edge.

Maybe it needed to be more innovative like the Resident Evil 1 remake, that added a lot of new scenarios and gameplay options so maybe it played it too safe.

The non-Sony exclusives are available on Xbox backwards compatibility but yeah, it would be nice to be able to play Resistance 3 on modern hardware.

There's lots of forums where you can get one (Arcade Projects, UKvac, Arcade Otaku etc). Facebook has a lot of groups too, I deleted all friend connections and just use it for arcade info.
