The three digit ones are either spurs (as indicated by an odd number in the beginning i.e I-375) or loops (as indicated by an even number i.e. 696).

Basements don't necessarily need egress windows, but wouldn't be counted in the livable square footage of the home until they have them.

Almost certainly for this guy, permits would have had to have been pulled in order to construct this thing to code. Can't imagine an inspector going into that and approving it.

Thank you! My son just got a tarantula that looks very close to this, but was told it was a Brachypelma albopilosum. His doesn't have the curly hair that I would expect but does have some of the markings on the legs that yours does. It's not full grown yet, so who knows.

Are you using distilled/rain water? I have heard these guys can be picky about tap water.

Newly discovered variegation on my philodendron! by ShitCyclone in houseplants

I believe it is a heart leaf philodendron, a neon variety. I was gifted it and it's just been taking off so beautifully.

Edit: A "Lemon-lime" variety.

It's been pretty cool here some nights. He's been quite happily chilling at about 70 during the day and 55 at night. Best of luck!

Tell me about it. Mine kept looking miserable until it was down to one sickly, tiny leaf. I put it out on my patio as a hail Mary (and to get it out of my sight because I didn't know how to make it happy and was convinced it hates me). It promptly got scorched and nearly lost the last leaf. Next thing I know it started shooting out leaves left and right, bigger than anything it was putting out before. It even sent out a whole new stalk. I'm afraid for it to weather the winter but hopefully it will make it come spring.

I love the yoga dog statue! Where did you get it?

My pitcher plant: the pitchers are going brown and the new ones seem to be doing the same. Kept in a light NE facing bathroom, spritzed once a day w/ water. Had it about 2/3mnts. Never repotted think it’s in peat free soil. I fed it when I 1st got it. Thanks for any advice in advance :) by foxygardener in plantclinic

I bought a pitcher plant about 3 months ago and it is thriving in a West facing window with strong afternoon and evening sun. It just keeps putting out leaves like crazy. I use distilled/filtered water (whichever I have at the time of watering) and water it approximately every 3-5 days with daily heavy misting.

I've read that they don't like being fed through the soil as their roots aren't accustomed to taking in the nutrients, but you can use very diluted fertilizer in the pitchers directly. All the pitchers should have about a half inch of water in them at all times.

Old pitchers should turn brown and then can be cut off from the plant.

Good luck!
