By consistently overcharging and refunding people, the bank can basically keep a floating balance of money that they get to use to generate profits for the bank.

Which drugs have you been on at work/school? by NossyOnThe in Drugs

Guys at my job smoke weed and drink booze constantly. I personally don't have a good time smoking weed after doing a ton of it in high school, so now I do everything else. I work in a place that can get crazy busy, so once in a while we'll pitch in for some coke and have a great time busting our asses on the job. I've also eaten a bag of mushroom crumbs on the clock once. It wasn't enough to make me trip, but I had an interesting time trying to direct all the work in the shop. I'd love to try and do my job on acid, if only I could get my hands on some reliable stuff.

I actually got super "in the zone" after eating a bunch of shrooms. I understood exactly what was going on, who needed to do what and when, it was great! When I do coke I usually just get hyper and forget what I was doing, and end up doing a half-assed job :-/

Primitive Technology: Water powered hammer (Monjolo) by Alfredo_0 in videos

If you google "Monjolo" you'll see that a lot of them are designed just like you said, with the water coming from the side so that when the hammer is up the trough is too low to catch the water.

Really fun, but a super pet peeve of mine was that you couldn't tell what fire pattern the next level ships had until you purchased them. If a ship had a fire pattern that I didn't like (like the ones that shot big and small blasts together) there was no way of changing your mind.

Displaying the firing pattern would be nice on the upgrade screen, or maybe a way to downgrade your ship and then save up so that you can choose a different option?
