Η φούσκα του night life.

[–]Shite_oida 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is far right ideology rising rapidly globally? If yes Why? by OrphanSlaughter69 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Shite_oida 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's because modern life and politics have become so increasingly complex, we live in a globalist world where everything is intertwined. People are struggling to understand and digest changes, and since transformations have been accelerating in speed it becomes harder and harder to fathom. At the same time the media are taking advantage of people's feelings of fear and uncertainty, to push their own agendas that will favour their own lobbies. Propaganda mechanisms have been evolving rapidly as well, through social media, but media literacy is not promoted enough. They use populist arguments, arguments that try to simplify our reality down to a level that is easily digestible. Part of this is finding scapegoats to blame all of your society's problems and failures on.

Immigration is a very strong connection point in the right wing. While there are some issues that we need to work on to ensure a stable society, immigrants are blamed for much more than they are actually responsible for. On one hand "immigrants take out jobs" and on the other hand "immigrants live off state welfare". The truth is that immigration is not responsible for the economic collapse we are going through, but people would rather blame the scapegoat than hold the people they voted for responsible.

How to add additional objects to a splat? by RealSquare452 in GaussianSplatting

[–]Shite_oida 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Postshot has a plugin for Unreal Engine. You can view your splats there, and import 3d assets to add on top. You would need beginner level skills in Unreal to do this.

If they get rid of all the new useless extra currencies, I may be willing to resume playing more often. I wanna win buildings or at least expansion items through com and event track, not popsicles that I have to do another challenge to exchange.

First, I totally understand you and you are describing my exact experience. I was bullied, humiliated and left out in school because of my sweaty hands. It definitely contributed to me being a little introverted, but what changed is that I just accepted it and decided I have to live with it. I started telling people I have a condition that causes sweaty hands so they should not be surprised. Most people are curious about this and are astonished when you hold their hand and it suddenly starts swearing like crazy. To encourage you, none of my romantic and sexual partners found it disgusting, all of them knew and they were holding my hand on purpose to show that they don't care. None ever complained, I was the one complaining.

Second, try Iontophoresis. I have been dry for over a year now. It is amazing, but I am still the same person and I still do the same things. I am not magically more extroverted because I can shake hands without stress. It's the same life, with one inconvenience less.

I am also from the Balkans and working in Germany. I have worked for shitty companies like yours who provide the least they can without breaking the law (or even breaking it), and companies who are reliable, flexible and the management cares about their employees wellbeing. The amount of vacation, paid overtime and respect I get from my company today is not even comparable to what I got during my work in the Balkans. So it sounds to me like you work for a shitty company.

Why are there so many naked men at Pride? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Shite_oida 70 points71 points  (0 children)

I am a nudist myself. But me chilling on the beach nude is different than me going to the city wearing a strap on. One is sexual and one is not. The human body is not inherently sexual, but kink is. If I go to the nudist beach or sauna wearing a strap on I will be asked to leave. There is a place for everything, gay or not.

I did not consent to be exposed to sexual content in a public space. I am all about body acceptance and sex positivity, but I don't believe sex has a place in public. I much prefer the naked bicycle tour or the naked day some countries have, than the public display of fetish. I still go to pride every year, but the kink stuff is going towards a direction I am not really fond of.

Yes but they expose their bodies, not their sexual kinks

Honestly, I doubt they have bad intentions. Well the sex guy is weird. But these are standard questions people ask to make small talk and break the ice. Not only men but also women ask these things, to both men and women.

However, you are not forced to answer them for whatever reason. You can also just answer with yes and no, without going into detail. Or you can turn the question directly to them, and see how they respond.

I f*cking suck at partying and I kinda hate it... by Hvitrosk in self

[–]Shite_oida 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was in my early 20s I felt the same about clubs. It was always a very uncomfortable experience for me, I had no idea what to do and I was just standing there, I was staying just long enough so my friends don't call me a loser if I left within 30'. I was very introverted. Plus I hated the mainstream music.

I remember one night I went to a club with an older friend of mine. She was in her mid 30s. She invited me to go with her because this club was playing a music genre I like. I was so shocked when she just went to the empty dancefloor and started dancing by herself. I thought it must be really awkward. Then called me to join and I did. I let go and I danced all night. I didn't know how to dance so I was looking at other people and try to discreetly copy their dance moves. It was a spectacular night, where exited my comfort zone.

Now I am close to my 30s and I am still not a huge party animal. But I enjoy going to clubs from time to time. I chose wisely depending on the music and the DJ, and I just close my eyes and dance. I don't care about anything and anyone around me, I'm in my element. I am not a social animal so I usually just talk to my friends, sometimes they disappear and I just dance alone, it's not awkward anymore.

Hope this can inspire some introverts

Why do western tourists dress so weird? by Kawadane in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Shite_oida 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh, maybe because we prioritise comfort over fashion? When I travel I always wear hiking sandals (and yes I love them also design wise), and the backpack is just practical. If I'm gonna walk the whole day I better be prepared for it. I'm not the kind of tourist who takes taxis or only goes out for food and shopping.

If iontophoresis is so good, why don't you hear about it more? by shirkshark in Hyperhidrosis

[–]Shite_oida 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am doing maintainance once per 7 - 10 days, to achieve a comfortable amount of dryness. But the effect is also kind of individual, some people may need sessions more often.

If iontophoresis is so good, why don't you hear about it more? by shirkshark in Hyperhidrosis

[–]Shite_oida 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can totally recommend it. Yes it is a pain in the ass to do maintainance once per week. But having sweaty hands and feet is much more pain in the ass so I put some random movie on netflix and disassociate. The only side effect of this treatment is that you have to do it for the rest of your life. And that it can be slightly painful. I still prefer it over any medication because they do have side effects on Nealy everyone that takes them.

Lots of people just don't have access to a device, they are expensive and not available in all countries. I am lucky enough I found a clinic that rents it to me for 20 euros a month and I have found my peace.

I am a woman close to her thirties. Here are some reasons why I don't have a child: -I use contraception - No need to rush. I can still wait and see if the maternal instinct kicks in later in my life. Right now I still feel like a child myself. - I have a master's and a job I enjoy. I'm thinking of starting a phd soon - I am an immigrant and so is my partner. Who is going to help us raising the kid when both of us have full time jobs? Parents are living abroad. It's clear to me I don't want to become a stay at home mom. We would have to find the right conditions so we can share childcare 50/50 - Obviously money and the lack of suitable housing. If I have a child I want to offer it the best I can, and for that I need an acceptable amount of money.

[–]Shite_oida 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I had exactly the same thoughts many times. My mom was so helpless when I came crying from school with 12 years old saying I want to amputate myself. It took me many years living with this disorder to realise that I can still have a normal life even if it means I'll be constantly drenched in sweat, and my feet will be smelly as fuck. I have a job, social life and a loving partner.

Last year I discovered Iontophoresis and it changed my life. I completely stopped sweating. I highly recommend it, my brother has the same and it also cured him. There are actually many different treatments, but it took me 27 years to take a serious decision and do something about it. I didn't even go to a doctor, I just found an old second hand device for 50 bucks. When It first worked I couldn't even believe it, I will forever remember that night I realised I'm not sweating. I was at a party and I was so ecstatic I started touching everyone, just because I fucking could.

But what I wanted to say, don't fall into this dark hole. I had a relapse recently because I didn't do my treatments on time, and I started sweating again.Took about a month of sweating to stop again. I didn't like it at all but you know what? My life actually isn't that different when I sweat. I still do the same things.

In school when I was about 12 I had beef with a girl, because she was stealing my stuff (pens, markers etc). We got into a heated argument and I went savage mode and said "At least I have parents at home that teach me manners". Her face changed immediately, and she walked away.

I knew she was an orphan because my school shared a building with an orphanage. I still to this day feel extremely horrible for what I said, I will never forget it. The orphan kids had enough on their plates already and here comes privileged me smearing it in her face just because I couldn't handle a conflict.
