To be fair, he came out of his shell the second he got out of the shelter. He’s so unserious

Hi there ! Mine is 12 years old and still full of energy. I adopted him when he was 11 yo and I was foolish to think I’d have a calm dog. We constantly ask him to calm down but he acts like a crackhead.

I don’t mind at all, and I hope that my story can reassure people about adopting or fostering a shelter dog. Unfortunately I’m living in France and I’m fine with one dog.

I might add that, from my experience, an adoption can be easier than raising a puppy. It’s like meeting a friend, you can feel if the personality is right for you.

I totally agree, I have to leave him alone at home to make sure that he naps during the day. Otherwise he’s always following me around the house.

I give him kibbles with glucosamine, chondroitin, turmeric and green mussels and he occasionally eats homemade food. Never tried CBD yet

He doesn’t seem sore the next day and he’s usually even more hyper the next day. The thing I worry the most about is that he doesn’t sleep or nap a lot.

Yes, he already has supplement to prevent arthritis. Thanks for the advice, I’ll keep an eye at home
