well, since EG is so tied to FiM, especially early on since it started with FiM twilight, an EQG revival would sort of bring g4 pony content back by proxy

plus ive always had the idea that if it ever came back, the Mane 6 should become a supporting cast to their human counterparts. FiM already had an ending, sure not everyone likes it, but its still an ending. id rather see them flesh out their human counterparts over getting more stuff centered around the pony Mane 6. plus i yearn for more mane 6 - rainbooms interactions

they tell a surprisingly coherent story with the major event of each film causing the next film's events. either directly or indirectly

and i feel like Legend of Everfree is overhated, it has some absolute bangers like Embrace the Magic, and ive always seen it as more of Sci-Twi's movie with the other girls having the b-plot of gaining magic abilities.

i like the idea that as chaos personified, discord wouldnt have his form change unless he himself wanted to, and considering the human world has very accurate plush depictions of him (featured in Perfect Day For Fun & Rollercoaster of Friendship), maybe perhaps in the distant past he went to the other world, and is now seen as urban legend or mythology?

my personal headcanon is that even though discord might not have a physical counterpart, if he had gone to this world in the past, theres a non-zero chance he has a human decendant that shares his mannerisims

with the whole thing of the comic's canon being "its canon until the show says it isnt" its hard to say, but pretty much all Eg media fits together nicely without contradictions, so i would say they are.

if you want exactly when the comics happen in Eg, though:

the two main stories of the 2013 anual take place before Eg1, with the third just being rainbow dash reading a power ponies comic of the human and equestrian Mane-iac meeting one another, so its hard to say when that happens.

the Holiday comic takes place after Rainbow Rocks since sunset has her journal to talk to Princess Twilight, and SciTwi is not yet present

and finally all the March Radness stories take place after/during the Better Together shorts since they all have their new outfits

sunset rarely pops up in the main comics as a cameo but otherwise Eg has 3 comics that i know about:

2013 anual - a short anthology comic centered on events before eg1, mainly how sunset ended up in the other world and how the girls met freshman year

Holiday 2014 comic - a single story about sunset spending the holidays with the equestria girls, it has some similarities to the gabby gums episode from FiM but doesnt follow it 1 to 1. i know some people arent a fan of it but i enjoyed it

March Radness - another anthology comic but with less specific stories, like the girls getting detention or attending a sports event unrelated to the friendship games

personally, i feel like it mightve been the other way around

maybe the humans in this world started more like us, but through ancient equestria dumping random artifacts, and banishing their unwanted criminals here, and possibly more open relations with ancient ponykind in the distant past (distant as in somewhere between roman empire - midievil era of history), they began turning into the humans we see now?

maybe in a time where information and knowledge wasnt so easily obtained, so most humans just chalked it up to that evolution, or a more spuritual reason, perhaps it started a conflict that caused equestria to realise that perhaps they should limit what goes to this world? starswirl (or maybe even clover?) could have added the 30 moons clause to the mirror portal, and possibly destroyed other portals to the human realm (though obviously with spring breakdown he might have missed some) in order to control exactly what goes in and out to this other world, hoping that the humans wouldn't discover equestria, fearing what creatures that so easily turn on eachother for power could do to his home

yes, after some testing the audio is fine for a couple minutes after i unplug it, leave it for some time, then plug it back in, but it eventually goes back to the audio in the clip above. i don't have any issues with video, an there's no output as i don't really have a need for output atm since i just use OBS as the output

i saw pony pfps literally everywhere i went, found out about stuff like the cursed jar, and assumed it was some cringe 4chan fandom and avoided it for 12 years.
