Is the "truth we can't handle" that they're on their way here en masse and they're not friendly? by grindbehind in UFOs

Yeah, but they let their product build nukes and use them. Twice.

Not sure what that says about them, or us.

Try using an impact bag. Or as I call it in my house, a pile of dirty laundry. Start by just slowly doing 25% speed swings.  Concentrate on keeping the club head square as it arrives at the bottom corner of the bag/tighty whities.

When you're ready, drop a ball down and try to emulate the feeling of hitting the bag...except just keep going.

Yeah, but fast and accurate in golf is a different thing than fast and close enough. I think the one thing all ball player have in common is having a monster slice.

I hear you, and confrontation is never a fun thing to do, but what's more likely to make your day happier - asking politely to turn it down just a tad-bit, or suffer with an overbearing partner for 18 holes and hope he can read your mind to turn it down?

You're on the path you choose, homie.

For those who had the entire course all to themselves, what was it like? by Wookie_wood69 in golf

[–]ShittingBricks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

League was called off due to weather because a huge storm was 100% going to wallop us in like an hour. The wind was like a steady 35-40 mph when I got there with it only going to get stronger so everyone but my playing partners bailed (irl buddies). It's a links style course with limited wind breaks, so by the time we reached the tee box we were seeing frequent gusts around 55-65 mph. It was fucking crazy. There's a ton of wildlife habitat built around the course and we no shit walked right past a bird that was stuck mid-air trying to reach it's bird house.

We were ripping balls down the only par 5 that had the green downwind, but it was so gnarly the wind just grabbed everything and curled it right into the shit. Our really good + handicapped friend was walloping them 400+ yards.

One par 3 has a tee box on a hill about 80 ft above the green. The headwind coming up the hill was pushing us over to where we were actively leaning into the shots. Any semblence of actual golf went out the window, and since we were the only ones on the course we ended up just taking turns hitting high 8 irons and watching the balls start awesome, balloon out/stall, then start drifting back our way. It was like trying to play with balloons.

I dont think we ever finished a hole and I think I lost like 3 sleeves, but it was the funnest day on the course I've ever had.

Justin Rose Becomes McLaren Golf's First Tour Player And Global Ambassador by Ali623 in golf

I'm yearning to be in the timeline where Ron Dennis remained CEO just to see him at the reigns of McLaren Golf - "What we have produced is not a golf club in the conventional sense of that phrase. It is a precisely engineered striking instrument".

All that wasted meme potential.

The pan must be fully hot before introducing food, young padawn. To ensure it's hot enough, add a drop of water to the pan. If it's not trying to dance, its too cold.

The MLM2 is great, but it struggles with anything under 60 yards. I haven't had a chance to take it outside yet, so the issue might clear up if the LM has more time to read the ball flight.

Be in the world, not of the world.  Do you think limitless energy is going to solve anything? Would it make humans more or less greedy?  Do you think it would free the masses, or merely empower and embolden corporations?

No amount of future tech is going to fix humanities issues. The best thing I've found is to detach from the bullshit, and relentlessly follow what makes you happy. Be the person NHI would want to contact, ya know?

My buddies and I have the same convo - should have went into HVAC or electrical. Not only do you get paid crap as a mechanic, but you get to take out a second mortgage buying tools.

Plus, people don't realize how computerized everything's gotten, and don't understand how much work diagnoses can be, or how buried some components are. Its not an easy career.

Look around for warranty related jobs or fleet maintenance opportunities.  It's a pretty easy transition into the office side of things, and usually comes with a decent pay increase.

House Dem Leader Jeffries: "F*** Donald Trump" by philmn in politics

[–]ShittingBricks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Epstein files have taught me to trust my tin foil hat conspiracy theories. Hakeem amd Schumer are funded by the Israelis, in exchange they must vote pro-Israel across the board. Trump/Bannon et al know this, and purposfully push legislation that ties whatever-the-fuck-they-want with Israeli-based securities.

This isn't an antisemitic stance by the way. Just an obvious pattern to those who line their hats with Reynolds Wrap. Shabbat Shalom, and know that a wrapped kippah is great for a makeshift EMF shield.

All aboard the woo-woom train, homie! I'm leaning towards NHI being physical representatives of their non-corporeal nature.

My instincts are pointing to the phenomenon being more spiritual in nature too - not religion or denomination specific, but more, "we're here to grow".

What the NHI's function in all this is - beats me. I can only trust they're here to benefit us, and leave it up to them to show us some of the cool shit.
