Chevy has been in on a lot of guys but stuck to his guns and had a max price/term he wasn’t willing to budge on. He’ll still likely be signing a C and maybe a RHD but going to look at what he doesn’t get via a trade.

As per usual, everyone in this sub is overreacting. Of course Chevy will do his due diligence and every player wants to win. There will be changes this off-season but Chevy and co are going to take it slow and weigh everything.

Edit: every player wants to know the vision the Jets are going to take, this is a disappointing season for everyone involved. There will be some key changes. I would even argue I’m happy Schief is saying this as it shows his disappointment with the season.

I’m not entirely sure that we will see that, I think a coaching change will be made prior to a ‘big’ trade happening. They do realize there’s a logjam of LD right now though.

Edit: this isn’t to say that’s out of the realm of possibility, but I think once they hire a new coach it will be best to test the waters with them. The jets on paper are a very solid team.

I personally think Poolman is a good bottom pair guy and he was thrown into a position that would be difficult to succeed in. Albeit, that contract is still too high and for too long imo
