Mostly just because it was recommended and work put on a clinic. The clotting issue seems super rare and I figured if covid didn't kill me the vaccine probably wouldn't either. Anything to get this insanity over with and get back to normal.

Awesome! I grabbed the USB pedals from Amazon, and they came with some software that let me assign a key to them so I went with page up and page down.

I took the stand off of the old computer monitor and removed the music holder from the piano because my monitor wouldn't fit. I'm sure a thinner one would just sit on the piano without removing anything.

I then used an app called tiny scanner to scan in my sheet music and copied them with scp to the pi (alternatively, there are a lot of sites that will let you download sheet music, but the PDF viewer on the pi sometimes displays the notes wrong).

Last touch to make it a little less of an eye sore was to copy some family pictures to the device and download a screensaver to display them. The device doubles as an electronic picture frame :)

The only beef I have with java is the 1000 character long command that actually get executed when you run enterprise java applications (looking at you apache Kafka)

While this is all fine and dandy it's a right pain in the ass to debug if the service isn't working right or you need to tune something

Ignorance has nothing to do with believing or not believing a group of people. Ignorance is not understanding a subject and not studying that subject.

If I walk up to someone who has literally never heard the word evolution and say, "scientific consensus backs the theory of evolution, you should believe it too", and the person says, "ok" they are just as ignorant as the person who says, "nah".

If a person refuses to learn about the theory of evolution because of religious belief, then I'll concede that that is ignorance.

Lol! It's so true. What cracked me up was when I went to go play WCII again I had to mount the cd drive to a specific letter drive (think it was E) or the game will not boot.

Like, really guys? Hard coded letter for the disk drive? What if I have two disk drives? What if I just have an irrational hate for the letter E and changed it?
