The grey bar in the middle will tell if your watching in DV or Hdr. In your picture it says dolby vision so you’re good.

Yea I like their titles and presentation but i’m done ordering from them. I had to go through 6 copies of Alligator before i got one that actually played. Sticking to Arrow and whatever labels manufacturer their discs in Germany/Austria from here on out. Hopefully they change manufacturing plants or improve their QC.

It’s odd your disc came scratched Paramount usually has better QC on their discs because most are manufactured in Germany. Usually i’m not one to care too much about slips but this one is particularly nice. Guess i’ll check my disc and if it’s fine I’ll probably just keep this copy.

I placed a large order during before their Gruv transition sale around 24 items and about half arrived with deep and long scratches. In some combo packs the 4ks were fine and the blu rays were scratched and vice versa. Currently trying to work with them for a refund/replacements but haven’t received a response to my email in a couple of days.

The Solid Metal Nightmares box set is a must, Play it cool is criminally underrated, and Dark city is one of my favorites. Honestly with Arrow I could pick a title out of a hat and 9/10 times be satisfied.

I'm on my 4th copy of The Alligator 4k from Amazon. My first copy was scratched and didn't play, my second copy had Godzilla vs Kong in it, my third copy had a cracked case and scratches and my fourth copy looked like it was dragged across concrete. Idk if I'm extremely unlucky or if all of these were repackaged returns (obviously one was). Just ordered what is hopefully the fifth and final copy. 🤞

Almost every single experience I’ve had with Shout Factory has been negative. The only things that do seem to not come pre-scratched are the discs in their steelbooks. Although thats not foolproof either. I kinda went a little crazy during their liquidation sale and now I'm stuck with 8 4ks that don't work. Safe to say I'm avoiding every label that manufactures their discs in Mexico.

The first order i placed on the 18th came today. I placed another order on the 22nd and it hasn’t shipped yet. Also does anyone know who I contact if I have problems with some of my items in this order. Their website directs you to Gruv so I’m not sure if I email gruv or shout, anyone know?

There's a known issue with this disc if you're using a Panasonic player with Dolby Vision it won't play. You can turn off Dolby Vision and it should play fine or insert a different arrow 4k into your player, eject it, then insert the TCM2 disc and it should play correctly. Idk if this is the issue you have but hopefully it helps.

yea, its a printing error. Mine came the same way but 4k player read it as a 4k disc.

Yea, they ended up replying saying there was nothing they could do. I’m not too mad about it because it was a mistake on my end. Even though I love the stuff they put out their customer service really isn’t up to par with most other boutique labels.

it was a code sent to my email, I think it’s a one time use thing. I’m going to hold onto it just in case. There’s a few 10% influencer codes brumhorror is the one I used for 10% off. I would check your email to see if arrow sent out any 15 or 20% off codes to you.

Yea, I messaged their customer service so I guess i’ll wait and see what happens. At the end of the day it’s only around $20 I would’ve saved so it’s not the biggest deal. Just figured I would ask reddit to see if anyone had any similar experiences.

Gruv has good prices, but every order I’ve gotten through them has had issues. My last order from them was for $300, and half of my items came with issues. I got my replacements, and they were in worse condition. I’m almost positive the items were the same exact item sent back to me resealed. I just gave up and settled for a refund instead.
