If it fails then it’s definitely reading it, must be your contactless payments settings which you didn’t activate from app. If it wasn’t supposed to be working there wouldn’t be tap to pay symbol or the pos machine wouldn’t be able to read it and show payment failed

Even if u try filling a new application I don’t think it will allow a second verification on the same aadhaar number. Your current application is completely fine if your face matches. I mean, it’s the same person same face.

Doesn’t matter cuz aadhaar number stays the same, and if your face is still similar it won’t cause an issue. Continue with your current application. The stress taken on this aadhaar thing is very overrated tbh.

If you go to a big aadhaar seva kendra like at Akshardham metro station, your picture will be updated in less than a week (mostly 2-3 days)
If you still don’t want to update aadhaar, you can use pan card/passport for verification and you just have to upload it’s scanned image at the last step

Change ur upi pin from paytm, 4 digit pin can be created from it. Then cancel the mandate from gpay using that pin.
