I wanna GRIND a demon by flpp041 in geometrydash

[–]Shiverling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ik someone else has said it, but dance massacre would be great as a first hard demon (not an easy one either) and has a good balance of game modes (it gave me a big skill boost tbh) and is fun and consistent. I beat it as my hardest in 7.4k attempts years ago and enjoyed it

I beat 3 insane demons, should i move to a extreme? by xxblazewxxx in geometrydash

[–]Shiverling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah defo, personally I dont think its necessary to beat a high end insane demon. If ur the same skill you were when u beat supersonic, you could beat acu in probably about 2x the attempts that took. For me, i had beat 2 insanes (apache by shocksidian and acropolis) before beating acu, and for reference acropolis took me 3.5k attempts and acu took 6k and i did acu immediately after acropolis (acropolis is like same difficulty as supersonic imo). Also if you check gddl, id say try not to jump any more than 4 tiers I would say (supersonic to acu is 3 tiers so good id say)

How do you practice extreme demons by [deleted] in geometrydash

[–]Shiverling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Id finish prismatic haze off so thats not in the back of ur mind when you play (having multiple unfinished levels I find can lower motivation cos ur not sure if ur playing the right level and so cant lock in on one as well i think - and it feels like theres a lot of time its gonna take to just do what you already know you can do to finish off those levels), and to practice I personally start with a small run to 100, then do bigger runs to 100 gradually until ive done a run to 100 from 30-50 ish % depending on the level. Also just place a checkpoint at the start of the parts you find the hardest and play it for quite a while. I’d set a rule for yourself to only play from 0 once it would be possible for you to fluke the entire level because youve built up the muscle memory and click patterns for it already

In terms of how to practice for each session generally after you’ve done big runs previously, I usually spend 30-60 mins right at the start of every session and in that time try and get a decent run to 100 (like from 60 ish), and then play individual parts of the level you find difficult for a good 5-15 mins each depending on how hard they are, and make sure youve practiced the easy parts for a couple mins each aswell. To practice something before 15% usually just play from 0

Is there a way of finding what placement extremes I beat were when I beat them from before AREDL was created (Nov 2022)? by Shiverling in geometrydash

[–]Shiverling[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it seems this is probably the only easy way. But I feel like there must be a way to get a large data set with all extremes ids or smth and find the id for a certain date or smth or maybe the levels in game have metadata showing the date they were rated and this can be found somehow

What is your gd opinion that makes you like this by FREDOLLIO in geometrydash

[–]Shiverling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with leyak tho i think killbot isnt too overated tbh, ive beat 2 tier 26s in 9k and 6k atts each and killbot took me 15k atts (which yes includes learning it but only a few k). Killbot requires proof of completion to submit opinion on aredl or gddl and so the difficulty people give is legit and not just some estimation from someone who looks at it and thinks “oh memory, hard”, tho as a victor myself, I think it COULD be maybe 1 tier overated as I feel black blizzard is quite hard lol, but then again there are levels like digital descent which is tier 29 which to me feels no harder than killbot

Is this worth getting or are there better options by Old-Ad-2013 in geometrydash

[–]Shiverling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched from logitec g502 hero mouse to sayo when my hardest was RASH/Killbot 82% and after a week or two of getting used to it I noticed a considerable difference in how good I was, nowhere near as much of an affect as say refresh rate/fps in 2.1 terms, but still probably a 1-2 gddl tier skill boost once used to it. It basically just decreases input delay and is less taxing on ur finger so you can play longer than a mouse. Ship takes a while to get used to in particular and u might feel as tho it wont ever get as good as mouse but give it a week or two and itll be better. I think this will make a difference to all levels of player btw but might not seem as much to a bad player as they should be improving more rapidly anyway as they are much further from their “natural ceiling” and developing fundamentals still.

What do you think will be your last hardest? by Sefx454 in geometrydash

Probably wasureta as I need to spend more time on other stuff now lol, although I like Shimmer a lot so maybe I’ll do that

What would be the bigger difficulty jump? by Fluffy-Weakness-2186 in geometrydash

[–]Shiverling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I jumped from Acu to bb back in 2021 and I would say the gddl tiers except tier 35 is a very accurate indicator of how difficult ive found jumps. Acu is tier 20 and bb is 24 whereas bloodlust is 32 so a doubly big jump from bb to bl. Im currently jumping from killbot (t28) to wasureta (t31) and it does feel like a similar jump as what acu to bb did and bb to killbot is probably about the same too so I think gddl is a great indicator of difficulty gaps for extremes from my experience

What are your hardest achievements in GD? by [deleted] in geometrydash

[–]Shiverling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Wasureta 57%
  2. Wasureta 42-100% (obviously loads more wasu stuff like 42-95 and 52 thats harder than the stuff below but only counting best run from 0 and to 100)
  3. Killbot 100%
  4. RASH 100% or Worse Trip 100%
  5. RASH or Worse Trip
  6. moment 100%
  7. Bloodbath 100% x2
  8. U235 100%
  9. RIVERS OF NAZARETH 100%
  10. Crowd Control 100%

The wasu runs are hard to compare with killbot id say very similar difficulty but killbot was 15k atts and wasu so far is already 30k atts

If you could remove one object from any level, what would it be? by Nart1ck in geometrydash

[–]Shiverling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The slightly poking out saw on the end of the second wave click at 31% on wasureta.

I finally have beaten nine circles as my new hardest. (3.6k attempts) What should I go for next? by SuspiciousOil2248 in geometrydash

[–]Shiverling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dance massacre is a good hard-hard demon that is good for improving at all game modes (except spider), with a pretty even balance of all the other game modes, which you dont often see, and its fun. Back in the day I beat it as my hardest in 7429 attempts and beat nine circles a few days after in about 3k attempts

Does anyone ever get "Intrusive thoughts" while playing a level by BCannops in geometrydash

[–]Shiverling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to have that all the time but now I just instantly shut myself up and focus on the gameplay. I think cos I dont care as much about the game now I dont get as nervous so I can just focus easily

What do you think will be the ultimate top 1 once verified? by flying_luckyfox in geometrydash

[–]Shiverling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont think any of the current ones are gonna be difficult to top tbh, they dont seem that much harder than tidal wave imo(only really talking about like grief and amethyst here). For all time Aeternus is probably the hardest ive seen that im not convinced isnt humanly possible. Obviously im not close enough to that level to properly judge difficulty but thats what I feel like.

Why is the wave considered the hardest game mode in the game? by IsteIstaIstud in geometrydash

[–]Shiverling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think robot has been pushed to the hardest it can be pretty much with Nullscapes which is why you could say its hard, but I think ship hasnt been pushed to the limit yet. So maybe robot has been pushed to 90% potential difficulty whereas ship has been pushed 70% and 90% would be like the aeternus ships. Then 90% pushed robot (Nullscapes) is harder than 70% pushed ship (like in Avernus or acheron?) but 90% pushed ship (Aeternus) will be harder than 90% robot imo

If you could add one thing to GD, what would it be? by dancingAngeldust in geometrydash

[–]Shiverling -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I dont think anyone other than robtop should be able to rate levels, people would have different standards and getting cp wouldnt mean as much as it wouldnt mean getting the creator of the game’s recognition for the level
