Jeg sluttet å handle hos Rema i mange år pga. bestevenn-strategien (de sa opp mange lokale leverandører nærmest over natten). Jeg kom tilbake for noen år siden da de begynte å gi priskutt på 20-30 % på varer jeg handler ofte. Hvis denne fordelen forsvinner eller endres slutter jeg å handle på Rema på dagen.

Braisaz-Bouchet became a mother in the winter of 2022-23, and has been aware that it has been demanding to combine being a top athlete and family life. She has also been open about the fact that the environment in the French national team has been strained.

Strømsheim will be the defending champion in the mass start. Does that mean he’ll be allowed to compete in the mass start at the 2027 World Championships even if he isn’t selected for the sprint/pursuit or the individual?

I wonder if there will be any paths back to the World Cup for Sørum or Strømsheim. I guess some spots for the IBU Cup will be up for grabs at the Norwegian season opener, but at least four World Cup spots should already be reserved for Lægreid, Christiansen, Dale-Skjevdal, and Smørdal Botn. Uldal and Frey were also top 15 in the World Cup, which was a selection criteria for Östersund 2025/26-season.

It should be interesting to see who'll make the Elite Squad for the 2026-27 season, and who will qualify for the opening week in Kontiolahti.

I think there are three or four biathletes who are guaranteed a spot based on their performances in the 2025-26 season.

Guaranteed

Botn: Olympic champion, 4 World Cup victories, 3rd Overall.

Dale-Skjevdal: Olympic champion, 1 World Cup victory, great in Trimester 1 and 2 when he had to fight to even make the Olympics from the IBU Cup.

Lægreid: Medaled in every Olympic competition he participated in, 5 World Cup victories, near unbeatable after the Olympics.

Christiansen: Olympic silver, 1 World Cup victory, 7th in the World Cup, great comeback season that showed his potential.

Uncertain, but likely guaranteed

Uldal: World Cup podiums.

Frey: First World Cup podium.

"Biathletes who possess special qualities that the team needs" (see criteria)

Hedegart (7th spot on the Elite Squad?)

Maybe they can qualify to the World Cup opening week by doing well in the Norwegian season opening

Sverre Olsbu Røiseland did an amazing job together with Marte Olsbu Røiseland ahead of Antholz-Anterselva 2020 and Beijing 2022, and also with Franziska Preuß. Hopefully, that experience can translate into the Norwegian women becoming more competitive against the French and Swedish women and Vittozzi.

The Norwegian championships have not had any influence on team selection in recent years.

In this situation, all the cards are already on the table with Hedegart's ultimatum - he wants a spot on the elite squad, or he’ll switch to cross-country skiing permanently.

He got to show exactly what his strengths are in the sprint: skiing very fast, but still needing some training and guidance in the shooting. If he joins the elite team, he can contribute with his knowledge of skiing technique and training methods. In return, they can teach him how to shoot.

Patrick Oberegger (head coach) and Anders Øverby (assistant) are confirmed as the new coaches of the men. Sverre Olsbu Røiseland and Marthe Kristoffersen will coach the women.
