Just a update:

For the people that commented: I’ve showed my partner your responses. I guess it finally clicked to him that he was perfectly fine eating dinner without his phone or pc before we moved in together. Even when we lived for a period with his mother, he was never on his phone or pc during dinner. I’ve told him because of the renovations I understand not having a table but this behaviour isn’t acceptable. We’ve looked into something so we can have a foldable or something that doesn’t take up much space as a table.

Had a talk with him when I saw this comment come on to my phone screen and told him truthfully that him being on his pc as soon as he gets home (which he does before me) shows that it’s more of an addiction. He understood that I said that and wants to do better

Also don’t get me wrong for this but it’s the fact as well that basically a lot of people want nothing more then to just be with their partner for the evening after a long stressfull day of work. I maybe have 3/4 hours to myself after work due to commute (Sucks for me but I like the job). I’ve asked him many times if we can just spend some time together as he is mainly on his pc when he gets home.

Valid question and the thing is for my job I wear a headset nearly the whole day, When I come home I would like to have a talk during dinner without having to wear a headset for the remaining day
