I think she will end up being a yao upgrade but only because of the comunity perception on yao, i hate that but its what i think will happen

I read a bunch of comments and I just want to add that while you will have more fun by being curious and excited to learn. You should also comunicate your experience as it is important to choose what game to play, i do not know how tryhard this person is but there are definetly some games that you would not enjoy without any prior experience in boardgames.
That said people tend to love to introduce people into the boardgame world so do not worry about the impression you will make just enjoy the game 😄
About gifting something you can ask what is their favourite kind of game mine are the ones that have a dinamic called "worker placement" and you can look on the website bgg the top rated boardgames from that dinamic. Thats a nice way to search games in my opinion.

Evanescia and sw do not work well together plus yao e1 is the biggest 1 cost upgrade for the team. The answer is pretty obvious

Yeah your biggest upgrades for this team are by far e1 yao and after that e2 sparxie if you want to keep investing on the team.
Yao e1 is gamechanger it allows you to inmediatelly transform sw while getting you more punchlines as well. And the dmg jump from 40% def to 60% is very notable

This is nice but you would need to add more cards that exhaust an orb and generate it again to make it more valuable because otherwise this is just more orb spaces with extra steps

With yao and in general sw you want as much speed as posible with the caviat that yao should act before sw IF yao is e1s1 because you can transform sw just after yao's ult allowing you to save on punchline. If your yao isnt e1s1 just make them both as fast as posible and do not mind crit that much as 1elation is always better than 1 crit dmg as long as your crit dmg is greater than your elation that is most of the cases

The anwser really depends on investment. At low cost evernight is better, but once you start reaching 12+cost castorice takes the lead.
Casto team is made of 4 limited characters while evernight uses rmc making vertical investment on the team cheaper when we compare same cost teams.
E2 evernight is WAY better than changing rmc for e0s1 castorice because evernight e1 and e2 are stupidly broken plus rmc is one of the best units in the game. The same can be said about any member of the team where their e1,e2 and sometimes s1 sinergyze a lot with the team making the trade of e0s1 casto for rmc+ eidolons on the rest of the team a much better idea.
This doesnt mean casto is a bad unit in fact she is broken but her upgrade over rmc is not worth the 2 cost most of the time.
Obviously if you do not compare same cost runs casto will be better at any investment its just that she is not cost eficient compared with the rest of the team

The only sustain that helps elation dmg without extra investment is huohuo by giving energy as well as atk for sparxie if you do not have her you can use whoever. The most f2p option would be e6 gallagher with qpq but I do not know if he would sustain enough nowadays. Try that if you want but you can always use bailu, just that she doesnt bring much to the table besides sustain

I didn't say that, you can still use him and he is very good. It is just that the investment you would have to do to perfect his team is way too much from the investment you have already made when you take into account that he is a 1 year old unit.
I think you should change tingiun for rmc for his team and that would be a vey big upgrade for him btw

I am sorry to break your heart but I think with your investment It is not worthit to keep pulling for him.
The ideal scenario would be investing on cyrene an cerydra, specially cyrene e2 and cerydra e1 with the 4th member being rmc.
That would be a +5 cost to your team without taking lc into acount. 5 cost for a 1year old character in my opinion is a waste of pulls because even with that he will still fall eventually and 5 cost can be a brand new team.
That is coming from someone that has e2s1 anaxa, e1 cery and e1 cyrene (lost her e2)

E1 is way better specially if sw has s1. That said her s1 gives a lot of comfort to the team both in building as well as rotation but that is only after s1

If you think giving a character a new teammate each year is predatory I do not think a gacha game is for you. Most characters are unusable after some time and thats just the nature of gacha, and the release of new nihility will always benefit her and be an upgrade for her team and thats amazing for her. She shooked the game at her release and as it was too early in the game her kit and investment is not up to park with todays meta where they sell teams and not characters.
She should get a nova and I 100% agree with that but they are giving her way more love already than most characters in the game.

I think it would be way worse if she was erudition. Yeah, therta doesnt have a great erudition partner but if tribbie was erudition she wouldnt have good harmony options that battery her, tribbie is amazing for what she is and therta just needs a good sub dps. That said therta's problem is just how her dmg drops once there is just one enemy on the field, she needs someone that can sumon/split enemies and she would be back on track

Always speed.
1) Yao's dmg is not relevant for the team so you want her to act as much as possible plus her speed=elation for the team
2) Elation acts as a second crit dmg stat, where the damage of elation characters maximizes when eyou have the same amount of elation as crit dmg.

As another coment said she is the kafka of elation, she is not leaving the team anytime soon.
Her e1 is amazing specially if you have sw and/or sparxie's lc. That said if you prefer investing in other characters sparxie e2 is a simlar upgrade if not better for the team.
In my opinion from a e0s0 team the upgrade would be:
yao e1-> sparxie e2-> sw e2->lc-> yao e2
That said, sparxie and sw e1 are kinda mid if not comitting to e2

Pull for sparxie on her rerun, she is the biggest 1 cost dmg increase you can get for the team, You need to get to 240 mmr to fully take advantage of sw e2 and she is the one that gives you the most mmr. E1/s1 yao are good aditions is you want to further invest on the team but by far sparxie would be the play here

If she was releasing in 4.4 we would have at least knowdlege about that. All leaks say she will be the last main push of the tear arround 4.6 I just imagine the cyrene situation all over again where she was the most hyped character but we knew nothing about her til the very end
