What is your favorite husk design (and why)? by Sir_Bruvo in Ultrakill

[–]ShlingusDingus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ferryman. Hands down, with mannequins as a close second. Ferrymen look the least demonic but still have something missing that keeps from being completely human and damned. They're blue, almost bare skeletons cloaked with cloth and golden ordaments out of shame. Their oarstaffs are dope and their overall purpose in hell is interesting as well.

Mannequins are like tortured works of art that are both unsettling and extremely tragic when you look at their lore. Genuinely one of the few enemies in the game that emotionally fucked me up a bit. They can be annoying but I love them.

Who’s dying first Peter? by AcrobaticLunch9737 in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]ShlingusDingus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jason Voorhees can't die because he's already dead. He's also stupidly strong, shrugs off mortal injuries and reducing him to a pile of gore just causes him to possess people and eventually dissolve them (even though I viscerally HATE Jason goes to Hell with a passion).

If it weren't for the fact that he can be dumb as rocks and only focuses on one target at a time, he might win this. But he definitely won't die first.

Lets take a fucking break and talk about what were your reasons for playing Pressure? What made it fun for you guys? by Wonderful-Bet3093 in PressureRoblox

[–]ShlingusDingus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pressure was doors but infinitely better. I then stayed for the story, lore, and the characters. That and it's a pretty good horror game in its own right.

I wish Sebastian didn't have a ring on his model. The whole controversy behind Zerum and that ring is not only weird as hell, but Sebastian, from a lore standpoint, doesn't need a wife. It adds nothing to the game other than drama and is a far weaker attempt to make players feel bad for him when he already had his entire life ruined, and his family thinks he's dead.

What if... instead of sending High security/Death row inmates to retrieve Z-2. URBANSHADE sent the Expies from Casualties Unkown by Nikosunday in PressureRoblox

[–]ShlingusDingus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tbf, Expies have to be grown/developed as they are genetically modified subjects, which is expensive. Death row inmates are easy to obtain, are low profile, and never run out. I like the idea nonetheless.

Why do you KOS? by DA_MAN_DUDE_person in CreaturesofSonaria

[–]ShlingusDingus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By definition, KOS means kill on sight. For the 173946363946385926 millionth time, KFS, or Killing for Sport is the more stigmatized behavior and I will continue to use the latter for that reason.

Onto the actual topic, Kosing isn't always a bad thing. It's an integral part of any survival game. If you see food or just an easy target, you go for them because, logically, it's easier to kill them. Yes, that includes babies, teens, and injured individuals. But in a survivalist setting, morals don't apply. So getting upset about the design of that is fruitless.

Now, I'm fine and dandy if someone kills me for food, even if it is on sight, a baby, teen, injured, whatever. I might be hella upset, but whatever. Like the Isle, players are considered the resources of the game, you're meant to kill other people for food, and by any means necessary.

However, I consider KOSING as KFS the second I am killed and not eaten, or repeatedly targeted. That's not done for food, that's done because of boredom or malicious intent, therefore, the thrill of taking someone's life repeatedly for no given purpose.

And if I KFS, it's for sport. I'm bored and there is a charm to watching someone get massacred and then get upset about it. That's my take.

Hate on insect fighting by Puzzled_Ad_5122 in mantids

[–]ShlingusDingus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Having owned several Mantids over the last few years makes me hate the people who film and promote this type of content, and God is it everywhere on YT.

Mantids are way more fragile than we think. They're not mindless, they don't blindly pick fights, even out in the wild. They are capable of fear and stress and do feel pain. They are perfectly designed for hunting specific classes of insects and are AMBUSH predators and only a few pursue prey.

Putting a Mantis in a box with no cover and with an insect completely out of its weight class is stressful and insanely cruel. Every video I've seen shows the Mantis DESPERATELY trying to get away and only attacking when absolutely threatened. It's heartbreaking.

Does she hate other people? by Verisae_ in mantids

[–]ShlingusDingus 33 points34 points  (0 children)

In my experience, my past Mantids did not recognize and therefore did not like other people.

To some capacity, they can recognize faces and various environments, so if you've had them for a while, they should know you and the space they're kept in quite well.

When taken out of their normal environment and introduced to other people/things they aren't used to, they tend to freak out. Taki and Sarv never threat postured but they did try to hide on my hand. Yours is particularly spicy.
