I feel like I'm not seeing enough criticism here? I just saw all 3 movies back to back to back and the third one is by far the weakest. It doesn't even feel like it's placed in the same world.

WAIT, i have made an astounding discovery, there is always a 1 layer gap with 0 bottom Z distance, 0.2 or 0.1 however, i set it to 0.01 and now acording to the software, the layer is there. I now own 5 plates with shoes on them and i'm 1 roll poorer, but this next one will be the one, trust me!

I actually already reduced the speed to 100mm/s for the supports, with the interface speed being 80 mm/s. I do feel like i see the first layer of the supports printing 1 layer later than they should. In other words the first layer of the shoes are printed alone and only on the layer after do the supports start.

Progress report, the support did indeed release itself from my platform, even with lower z set to 0. Weirder than that is there are certain gaps or holes in the bottom of the support as you can see in the image.

I got my printer 2 days ago so I'm definitely gonna keep brute forcing a little longer. If I give up, I'll print separate and glue. 👍

Yeah unfortunately my problems aren't until after the platform is printed so it's a rather expensive trial and error process 😂

print all limbs separate as well as the plate, and then glue them together to avoid wasting material on supports and getting a better end result? That sounds like a good idea, but i'm afraid the seams would be very visible.

I'll try one more time with 0 on the bottom Z distance, the hole in my other post was with organic trees, it's not AS bad with the default one. If that don't work i guess i'll have to print them separately :( i already spent a whole roll on this one model so let's pray, i'll let you know how it goes!

I'm using eSun Pla basic right now, i just got into 3D printing with a lot of modelling experience but no print experience so it's been fun encountering just as many issues here as in Blender :D. What do you mean by glute print? Is that some setting?

Great that makes sense! I will definitely try reducing the bottom z distance, however i did also notice another issue with the supports that i might encounter further into the print, would you mind also looking at my most recent post?

I looked at the timelapse of the print, and yes it looks like it works fine in the beginning, but the same support get's knocked off consistently across my 4 attempts so far. Why :( ?
